Time-stretched EVE music - 800% more drones.

In my curiosity, I time-stretched a couple of already perfect EVE songs to 800% slower speed:

  • 800% Further Below The Asteroids
  • All Which Was Lost Has Now Been Stretched

  • I'm unsure of any copyright issues that may associate with this type of "remix" but I take absolutely no credit for creative rights and still consider it complete property of CCP. (I would of course promptly remove the songs from soundcloud if asked by CCP staff.)

    Otherwise, enjoy the droney spaciness.

This is so awesome. How did you manage to stretch it so much without distorting the sound?!

I have a program that does specifically audio time stretching while preserving the pitch. I don't know all the technicalities on how it works but it can potentially stretch a 5 minute song to last for 5 days.

These came out awesome. Same Eve feel, but 8x the ambient. Nice work

    yes, Evei Shard, Paulstretch.

I guess thanks everyone for the compliments (even though most credit is due to CCP/Jon Hallur and the guy who made Paulstretch... Paul?) I'm enjoying these too and I might do more but I've only got 37min left on soundcloud upload space which is like 1 more song if I do it the same %. I could always use youtube...

Might make some of my own with that. Stretching some of the music has a way of unearthing hidden beauty within the tracks.

    moar!!

The joking aside, I really am impressed with how well a job you did. Please do more/make them downloadable pending CCP approval of course.

I came in not knowing what to expect and ended up listening to it all.

It's quite eerie, enthralling and very enjoyable to listen to. Thanks for the effort!

    +1 from me.

Very nice, if ccp hadn't taken the jukebox away i'd ask for specific songs to be done. (as i don't know the names of any off the top of my head)

these would work well for nullsec.
