If CCP had said 'There shalt be no more Hi Sec Ice' I could understand the crying and tantrum throwing
But it's still there, only it's presentation has changed.


The problem is as follows:

Look there is an ice belt on the scanner! Fast lets warp into it to mine some!

Upon arrival you lock an ice roid, start mining and *BAM* the field is gone!

It only lasts for about 20-30 minutes on average. There is just not enough ice in it.

If you plan to do ice mining in the evening, well....go figure...you play 20 minutes if you are lucky and then wait 4 hours until your evening is over.

This will cost many subscriptions.

The thing is Ice belts still spawn in the same god damn systems as they did before Odyssey so everyone is sat around in the same system fighting over the same ice belts except it's spaced out to every 4 hours now instead of all day.

Make ice belts pop up all over eve and more in low sec.

Make them move around to get the ore but don't make them wait for it.

not all who are unhappy with the changes to Ice mining are botters. I only get a chance to log on to ice mine periodically and only for short times(couple of hours) since the changes I've yet to get on when there is ice available to mine. ATM, I feel as though I spent all those months learning those skills and spending all that isk on skills/ships/equipment as a total waste now. I have all those skills and such sitting and not able to use them. I do have the skills now to fly lvl 3 and some of the lvl 4 missions, but this isn't what I always want to do when I log in. It's why I first trained to be able to do ice mining. It's one of my ways to relax after work without having to pay super close attention to what I'm doing. I can understand them making this change due to botting, but this has hurt more than just those targeted imo. Yes i can still mine other roids in hulk, but that's not what I aimed all my skill training for. My trainings in combat were not for my playing fulltime but for the everyone once and awhile joining in with a few friends.
as for the one that posted that all the high sec fields are still there, they are not all still there. they took out quite a few of them and they no longer even spawn in systems they used too.
