There are no pirate faction destroyers or battlecruisers yet. The new skill tree makes them possible.

So, imagine a Serpentis battlecruiser built on a Myrmidon hull...

They mentioned something about their choice when it came to the Myrmidon, and I think it had something to do specifically with role overlap between the Dominix, Armageddon, and a Navy Myrm, so they opted for a Navy blaster boat, instead.

Assuming, of course, you mean that all of the ships are the old Tier 2 hulls...

Tradition defines and shapes a person, but should be evaluated frequently; far too often does Tradition no longer help, but hobble a person and stunt their growth. Especially a Capsuleer.

There was an internal vote on top of a lot of pondering and debating and the Brutix won out as being the more iconic among other reasons. Not everyone agreed internally anymore than you guys agree on it now, it's hard to choose between the things you love :)

Well I guess, but out of the four options only one is a true close-range brawler. All the others have viable setups for fighting at 20km+. Swapping to the Myrm would more closely resemble a more even setup.

The tier 2 style BCs had more overall HP and can all perform at a distance. The tier 1 style BCs were mostly originally close range (pre-Ferox changes, and I haven't even looked at the Prophecy.) So it just feels out of place.

And here I was thinking the thread was about the Hurricane variant being named differently (it's the Hurricane Fleet issue).

There's no tiers anymore so the Brutix fits just fine and may wear the navy camo proudly.

Unless you mean a TIE-R — a riced-up imperial fighter with red racing stripes and all the cargo space replaced by stereo equipment.

But seriously, you could always put rails on that Brutix. The tracking bonus works well for poorly-tracking rails, combined with the damage bonus. And I'm sure CCP will get around to medium rails at some point. Rise stated it. I'd really love to be able to shoot hybrids farther than 10km.... :D
