Haven't used captains quarters a lot, but looks kinda stupid..

Look at the landing path and see the scale of the ship

Notice how it is not directly over that platform in one of the pictures?

Ah, I've heard of this. Apparently human vision has this weird glitch which causes things to look smaller when they're further away.

The only known fix is to uninstall your eyeballs and replace them with a suport package called K9-D0G. This comes with its own downsides, however.

This was a "design mistake' done on purpose by the developers. It gets worse with smaller ships because they zoom the smaller ship in the CC so you can see all the details. It was another reason Incarna was pounded by the players, but CCP maybe more open to fixing issues of scale in the future (maybe).

Back when they first implemented CQ the view over the balcony looked correct but some dumbasses complained that they couldn't properly see their ship (or something) and CCP, in their infinite wisdom, moved the ship up into your face and projected it onto a screen where the scale never changes, thus removing any semblance of scale or depth from the scene.

CCP has no sense of humour.

Is that a pod on the left ? Does that fit inside that battleship?

ahh okay, thats explains alot,now there just need to stop rotating the ship or make the ship rotating in the normal hanger

Plot twist: it's not actually your ship, but a holographic projection, which is why you don't see the ship move out of the hangar when you undock. You enter your pod and go blackscreen because in stations you don't have active camera drones, only the ones installed in the station itself. You detach from this system and get your camera up and going as soon as you leave the station and the custom camera drones are permitted to operate again.

while (CurrentSelectedTarget.Status == ShipStatus.Alive) {

     _myShip.FireAllGuns(CurrentSelectedTarget);

Well, EVE has always had a bit of an issue when it comes to scaling and a sense of size. Frankly I wonder if there even is a proper solution available since it's pretty much all about camera distances. Actual sizes are more or less ok after all. It's the same thing with the hangar as IMO it is way too small for the biggest ships thus it has to be compromised with this somewhat "meh" method.

This is exactly how I remember it.
