Looks ugly and arbitrary.
Is completely unnecessary.
I just don't like it.

Yeah, doesn't really give the impression that you are moving through a wormhole. I love that they did something, but it just doesn't hit the same spot as the Kspace stargates.

Also, give the same wormhole collapsing effect as the one in the Origin trailer! WITH DAMAGE SUPERNOVA! plox!

I actually really like the subtle transition as opposed to the jagged jump that the stargate does right the beginning of its animation. That said I think the stargate is appropriate to the lore behind how it works.

I do wish the outer corona of the wormhole would disappear more quickly to increase the immersion feel of it though. As it is now you get the gentle pulsing "in" effect, but that outer circle holds on way too long.

Maybe not with the supernova effect, but yeah that collapse animation would be sweet.

Come to think of it the animation with what looks like solar flares coming off looks much better than the current wormhole graphics. I guess it would be too taxing for peoples PCs?

The new animation is okay, but i would like to have more effects. I mean, its a wormhole. It's supposed to do flickery lights, sparks, distortions, that kind of stuff. also would be funny if your ship would wobble around with his scale while jumping, being pressed together, or getting even longer, wobbly wibbly thingy, you know. Yeah i really hate it, i think it was really lazy of CCP to add such an uninspired thing like this to the game. All it is, is a zoom in and zoom out of the old wormhole effect. They should have just kept is the way it was and just added some lightening effects or something, if they couldn't be bothered doing a good job.

The WH jump sound is okay but it goes on for too long especially when you have 20 ships jumping through like we often do. This will get old fast.

I don't mind it. It's not intrusive and doesn't get in the way.

I logged out in hisec for the patch, just in case the skill changes required me to have a new clone. So I saw the gate animations before the wormhole animations. After first seeing the stargate animations, entering and leaving wormholes is underwhelming. I like that they are trying something, but I hope they keep working on it.

No one really knows what traveling through a wormhole would be like, so they have a wide-open list of choices. I think personally that I'd still like to get the feeling of traveling, so some sort of motion would be nice; maybe a roller-coaster tube or something, distinguishing itself from the stick-straight path used by stargates, with a bunch of distorted and elongated stars. But whatever they do, it would be awesome to have a little more than Dune's "Folding Space" form of travel.

My biggest issue with the new animations, however, is that transitions take longer than they did before. The overview seems to be populated and ready before the rest of the visuals are updated, so some of this is perhaps just perception. But overall, it seems slower for me. Other corp members have echoed this sentiment as well.

The new sounds seem awful close to how my gut sounds while digesting. (TMI?) I preferred the old sound. Animation is fine. I could take it or leave it.

If they had just cut and paste the wormhole visualization from stargate it would have been better :D

I believe they've said this is a placeholder until they get more time to work on it. As with most WH iterations, I'm sure you'll get used to this one in the next few years.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Loading bars aside, the old way I could watch who jumped with me and who stayed behind. I don't know how relevant that could be, but I always like it to know. If only I could scroll out.

I think the k-space ones are nicer though, the cyno one feels like it rips a hole through space, the gate one is like a trafic tunnel(maybe they should add other ships in it also) but thew-space one is even harder to disribe.
Maybe the should add a 180 camera turn, like your falling trough a mirror or some other camera+effect making it look more like a pebble droping in a pool of water.

No local in null sec would fix everything!

It would be kind of cool (tho not sure if it would potentially spoil things intel wise) if wormhole collapses were a bit more dramatic and had some effect system wide even if its just a bit of a rumble and flash in the skybox (if you not on grid).
