So this Eve Universe is supposed to be 30,000 plus years in the future and we can't script the automation for DScan? We have to press this damned thing once every 3 seconds for updates? As a RL IT Pro, I refuse to believe that. I've written scripts to do a lot less and a lot more complicated things. Hell, I have a script to generate a report and email it to me every day just so I don't have to manually pull it. And yet, here I am, pressing this goddamned button like a monkey.

Why? So I can prove that I'm paying attention? How about not. I am paying attention or I will get found and exploded. There. That's how you test to see who's awake.

Make the dscan auto refresh. Please. My mouse will thank you, I won't get a repetitive stress injury, and my finger will stop twitching when I sleep.

-1. It's called effort in = results out. What we DO need is a KB Shortcut for the "Scan" button to save our friend the mouse. And again, this has been suggested twice in the last week. Please search and add support to those who have posted this up before you...and join in their flames Twisted

Completely agreed with the OP.

Frantically clicking scan isnt a skill, its a tick that everyone out of high sec has either been afflicted with or has by now been removed from the player pool.

Despite, thinking how l33t you are because you "can" use the D-Scan, trust me, so does everyone else.


With the new probe overlay, i dont see at all why dscan cant be automated and integrated into that system. Every time something enters you scan range, you could be given a visual cue like the ones with anomalies.

Not only would that looks grand, but it would also absolve us from that tick that every low sec/wh/null player has of clicking the dscan every 3 seconds.
