SPOILERS

(I've read ahead and saw this coming for a while, I just wanted some lol's)

Category: Factional Warfare

Subject: WTF was up with the Red Wedding?

Body:

Robb Stark was a fantastic character, and his mother was such a mixture of guilt and nobility!

Then they slit their throats and killed Robb's wife and unborn child? WHY?!?!

Response:

Hello there,

I'm afraid you'll have to ask Mr. George R. R. Martin himself to get a concrete answer, but I'd imagine it was a necessary storytelling mechanic to move the story forward in the direction he has planned!

As an avid follower of both the show and the books, I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole episode and I am very much looking forward to seeing how the aftermath of the terrible deeds at the wedding plays out on TV.

Best regards,

The time spent replaying to your waste of time petition about out of game nonesense could have actually been used to help out someone who actually had a petition-worthy issue.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Why doesn't George R.R. Martin use Twitter?

He killed all 140 characters Sad

Discussing game master communication in public is not allowed.

Also, if he hadn't killed them off in book... Three? Then he couldn't have brought Catelyn back as a zombie in the next book. That makes sense, no?

I tried watching the television adaptation, didn't care much for it, personally. It gave me that British soap opera vibe. You know, like "Legend of the Seeker", or even "Merlin", I think one was even called "Camelot".

To hell with the Starks.

The only person I'm pulling for in Game of Thrones is the dwarf.

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?

So i'm guessing I shouldn't have read the OP if I haven't seen the episode yet.

I held myself from watching the stream version so I could enjoy the newest episode on Cable HBO along with everyone else....

The ending credits had music all right... I know this because I had the window open, hell my own living room sounded like this. If you couldn't hear it let me tell you what it sounded like:

Tears, lots and lots of tears.

yeah, hbo decided to make a tv show without reading all of the books it seems at times.

not sure if they're having to cut corners due to costs or what, but they've missed out some great bits that were in the book.

Some stuff has to be cut because of budget, some stuff because it's not feasible or intresting in Television format, some stuff is cut because of time issues.

For a series based on a book they remain pretty damn faithful, and with George RR Martin helping them I'm pretty sure he won't allow anything that deviates to much from the books anyway.

true, it's still a brilliant tv show, no denying that. i just like some of the quirkly little bits they cut out.

Remember when Ned Stark lost his head because he thought to be "honorable" and then Robb Stark again did the "honorable" thing with his wife by marrying her?
Remember when Arya Stark answered Tywins question if she thinks Robb Stark is immortal with "No, all men must die."?
Remember when Rickard Karstark told Robb that "The war was lost the day you married that girl"?
Remember when Melisandre traveled across Westeros for the sole purpose of finding someone with "Kings´Blood" (Gendry) to use in her ritual burning the leeches representing the three false kings ("Ursurper Robb Stark")? And that after showing her true might by giving birth to a shadow assassin that killed Stannis own brother!

The signs where there all the time, don´t blame the show for you not recognizing them.

lol... Given what they did to True Blood's story line without Charlaine Harris's oversight, I'm pretty sure Martin better hurry the **** up and finish the series or HBO will make up their own!

No spoilers, please.

Yes, what I witnessed yesterday was one of the most disgusting scenes in TV history.

And I say that having watched Little Britain.

Also, this is Out Of Pod.
