You can still start the game via an .exe. It's in the /bin folder.

To patch without using the launcher use the repair tool, then use the exefile to start the game once the server is up

Why a switch on/off? Because the new animation doesn't add anything to gameplay and it's graphically annoying. In other words, it's worse than bad: it's useless. Simple as that. - Kina Ayami

Yes... There is a CCP Dev in my house right now with a gun to my child's head forcing me to the launcher
