scamed for toon and ccp are not helping

So i have been scammed Devs lock thread only responce from pettitions is telling me to wait witch all good and well but this is my game time burning away.

i read the forums and felt faily confidant that i wasnt gonna be out of poket and if i was i would have ccp help to recover my isks but i do not feal like im getting any help only response from pettitions is to wait and not to make new ones but how about responding to my other ticket to let me know ur dealing with it but nothing....

How long will it take for me isk to be retived or a responce so much for the power of 2 at this rate i just payed for 6months game time on an account im never gonna use.

ccp are amazingly good at dealing with char scamming petitions they are proberly just making sure everything is ok with what has happened invesigating all the data and such.


and if u feel they have taken a long time about it u can always ask them to reimburse some game time (no guarentte they will do it tho)

They really are very good about these things. Just remember, you aren't the only person being scammed. The person who purchased the toon / who owns the toon is being scammed too.

I purchased a toon 2 days ago and it ended up being a scam. I received an email from CCP telling me what had happened and they gave me notice that they would be transferring the toon back and refunding me my isk. They were giving me a short amount of time to take back any items I may have put onto that account.

CCP does not take character scamming lightly. You will have your toon returned. Just be patient with them as this seems to be happening a LOT lately. =\

In Character Bazaar - And CCP are not Acting... Yet again Looking After the Player.
I suggest Advertising this thread and the proof you have to the matter on other gaming sites and blogs
maybe CCP will then pay attention to the fact that they arent looking after there customers and that will
prevent them getting more customers in the long run!

Also Perhaps this DEV ( CCP Phantom - German Community Coordinator) should have looked more closely at what he was locking.

Good luck Getting a Fast Responce And Anyone else with sort of issue should Bring it to Everyones attention so the Devs are held accountable For there Rules And Regulations

i bought a toon recently as well and it was removed by a gm today, no explanation, notification, nothing.

I empathise with folks who have their accounts hacked and chars stolen but the buck stops with ccp imo, having to give out account names is stupid and is only playing into the hands of hackers. If ccp is serious about wanting to let us trade chars securely then this needs to be changed.

Would be less work for them in the long run too.

I agree completely, the system of buying and selling characters in Eve is just plain stupid. As was said in earlier posts, the fact you have to give up your account name is terrible. The whole system is awful, sending isk and *HOPING* you get a character transferred to you, come on there has to be something better that CCP can create for the character forums.

I would encourage all character traders as well as normal sellers to post in this thread and keep this topic alive.

I agree, I have bought 6 pilots in the last week and all of them have been scam's with people who never transfer, or isk being returned by gm's for someone else petition about their account being hacked and sold. Its getting nuts, Pilots should be able to be put on market, say your selling clone rights or whatever RP bs you have to use to justify making the transfers an ingame process instead of all this post, then post then post and hope and wait and SCAM!!

Come on CCP, can't be that hard to improve the character sale methods. It will make everyone's lives much easier; buyers, sellers and yours.

so i will add my voice to this

given i sold 2 toons in the last 3 weeks and added 2 new ones to my accounts with 1 error on the transaction the GM was able to deal with it within 3 days, i know in some cases it can take more time and with a large sum of isk in a hole until its sorted its a worry but their very good at what they do.

account name issues
the system need to change giving out the account name is not a ideal system and i know ccp can come up with a better system.

solution to isk transfer
As for sending isk to the toon that is for sale, I think it can be set so the isk can be held under the redeem menu for the account given options for the transfer of the toon, if said toon is not transferred in a given amount of time the isk reverts to the sender, the isk is held in stasis until transfer is completed . (just my idea tho)

I have bought and sold over 40 toons in the last 12 months and have only had 1 issue of being a scam which CCP reimbursed within 24 hours. Current method works fine they are probably just having a busy week, or you have something to hide and they are making sure the isk used or account are legit. Playing the game for 7 years and never been hacked on any of my accounts, if you change your password (make it a good password) on a regular basis and do not share accounts you will not have an issue.
