This is complete BS. This is a new character I purchased I would have made the training within 10 hours of down time but now I am a almost 2 days without a que.

I think we should be comped for this 100,000 sp at least. Also I was going to spend the weekend earning the isk to plex my 3 accounts now one of them I will have to let expire until I make the ISK to pay for it again so that is at least an other day of missed training.
So on top of the SP I think everyone should get two days added to there sub times.

WAHHHHHHH. You are so ungrateful I can't stand it, any other MMO would have, maybe, just got an update as to why the server is down. You really don't appreciate anything CCP has done for all of this weekend and quite frankly you should just GTFO

I have a better idea for you:

1. delete your eve folder.
2. Tell your mommy you need your diaper changed.
3. Ask her to kiss your boo-boos and make them feel better.
4. Hello Kitty Online. Made for you, OP.

Was this an attempt to be funny?
Take at least 5 to 10 minutes next time and think before you post something stupid like this.
I am pretty sure I have been playing EVE much longer then you.
You are probably some wow kid transfer who thinks they are some MMO leet pro now because you came to EVE.

Here's a post that took 5 - 10 minutes to think up.

The downtime was not CCPs fault, so any post like this comes across as whining. If you had trained all of the skills well in advance (I started a lot later than I wanted and still got them finished a week ago), then you would be whining about not being able to train something else. I had a skill come off the queue right in the middle of the downtime and lost about a day of training time. Unfortunate, but not the end of the world.

Also:
Quote:
We will be looking at ways to compensate players in both EVE and DUST for the outage and expect to announce what that compensation will be very soon.

Your argument is invalid.

So yes, delete Eve, get your diaper changed, get mummy to kiss the boo boo and then make your way to Hello Kitty online.

No. I was fortunate enough to have a long skill training when the downtime started and I didn't lose any training time. I'm quite certain of this, since I'm planning a remap in two weeks and my skill plan in Evemon for my current mapping is still scheduled to finish the same day and time as before. And Evemon shows the same skill time remaining for my current skill as the game does.

No, you don't even understand.

The training clocked stopped on CCP's end. Your long skill training was stopped for hours. It doesn't match Evemon's completion time anymore, too. My toons completion time was 1:07am and 1:09am, it was moved up to over 5am now.

4hrs of tape backup time lost. CCP shut the clock down on their end.

Trollers need to at least check what they're trolling about.

This is probably why CCP is thinking about compensation, as it actually affected everyone who was skill training.

The lack of reading comprehension skill is ******* astounding.
My other accounts have been done for months.
This character was bought and it had enough time to get this trained.
One of the reasons I bought it.
But holy **** people please learn to comprehend what you read.

You're missing the point. No one cares... Stop snivelling...

Everyone is always repeating the mantra "Don't Trust Anyone" ad nauseum... If I can't trust the guys I play with, why bother playing with them at all? Fly Solo...

I understand what you're saying, but I don't think you are understanding me.

Here's my situation. I've got a skill plan set up in Evemon that runs until approx. June 18th 00:30 CDT. That was before the downtime even started. So, I look at Evemon now, and my skill plan still runs until approx. June 18th 00:30 CDT. I lost no training time.

I had Electronic Upgrades V in training before the downtime, and it has advanced as expected.

And what's your source for this? I googled "eve online tape backup" (without quotes so just the keywords) and the only hit on google about it was your post just now (Google's gotten FAST).

EDIT: I don't mean it was literally the only hit, but it was the only hit that was on-topic.

I'm used to it. It's like watching a prison and/or illicit drug life video here. Justification of antisocial behaviors, meanwhile so addicted to one drug they'll go into DTs if anything happens to their private stash. In WoW, it's like troll threads about justifying ninjaing, when it's mostly detested by WoW players. Anything for a rise. Ugh

They're on the bandwagon of "YOU'RE ENTITLED CRYBABY!!!", yet as an adult (I'm nearly 50 years-old) paying for a service you do expect to get what you're paying for...in EvE it's clock time. If the clock is stopped for tape restore/backup, then compensation is in order for lost clock time. It's not 500k, but a fair average rate (e.g., +3 implants with average attributes). Lost ships/assets are the risks folks sign up to play for EvE, which is a PvP game. This has nothing to do with who did/didn't load 36 day skills last week, as no one but the instigators would know if EvE was going to be DDoS attacked, and even so, a clock stop would've affected even them.

Antics like this maybe the reason more and more MMOs are more solo friendly now, as it's showing if you let the inmates run wild, they'll also run a game into the ground (there's no reason why EvE is sitting at 500k subs, but the community itself). One look here is a reason to doubt investing time and money in this franchise maybe not wise.

I'm a multigamer so can be "free" from the antics here (and find better company to post about games with...many games, not just one), if for anything for positive mental health. Ugh

Having yet to see an MMORPG that doesnt have occasional issues I made sure my last skill trained was DestroyersV. I did that so that if any problems did come up the most I would have to do is train a little bit on each races destroyer. The problem here sounds more like a case of bad planning on the players part rather than an issue CCP is responsible for.

Well, your training time and training time on my two accounts don't jive. Evemon still hasn't updated the new training time, which says 1:08:46am on my main. In the EvE ingame queue shows 05:08 (when it showed 01:08 days ago). Plus, it's colored yellow indicating the skill was paused during the downtime (I haven't logged since loading the skill days ago to even touch them. I log in around <23hrs left to load up on the other skills, and definitely not pausing it so close to a deadline. Squeezing all the time I can in).

The queue timer is off.

It's possible that they don't even know. The bright yellow on a skill I haven't touched since queuing it is what caught my attention (doubt everyone enables that option to show incomplete skills that was paused). Then noticed the training finish times don't match. 4hr difference is about the time for a tape backup/restore, too.

Otherwise, this issue wouldn't affect me at all since the skill was long enough to weather the downtime. Ugh
