Hello mates,
I was testing out a new fit and tactic on a few rats in a lowsec asteroid belt. I figured it was an easy kill I just wanted to practice timing and procedure. I warped in cloaked at 10km out in my hound and saw two NPCs. Easy enough. As I approached and decloaked I targeted and destroyed the first rat with one volley of torpedoes. Duh. However just as I was about to target the second he vanished. I'm not sure if that was a glitch or if NPCs can warp out. Anyone ever experience this before? Your insight would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Warfare & Tactics forum, about warfare (PvP, FW) and tactics (camping, mechanics of combat, etc). But I'll bite.

Yes, NPCs can warp. They do it quite a bit...you can see them coming into a belt and leaving a belt if you just sat there long enough.

I wasn't sure which was the best topic to place this thread in. Sorry. And I appreciate the knowledge. It just appeared that he ran from a fight. Which caught me off guard.

... and if you are using allocated fighters for your ratting the damn fighters will warp away with them.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.
