I want to drop pod over a planet into a dust game! yes i want to do it with my eve client, i don't mind if it is an extra 6 gig download or whatever and if there will be some loading screen... it should have been done like that in the first place, a lot of people would do it... it would fit perfectly into the other things you can do in the game, just drop pod and shoot some people and then go back to space trading, mining, pvp and stuff, would bring good diversivication to the game...

Why are some people averse to adding more content to a game? If you dont want it dont do it.

When I first heard of dust I actually thought you could fly your ship into combat...was disappointed its just a lock on and hitting a function key.

Simple. Combat in EVE goes like this -> click target lock, press F1, and beyond this your character's SP and your ship and fittings (ISK) are what determines the victor most of the time. In an average FPS game, you have the actually aim and hit at something yourself, rather than have your character do it automatically. As such, there's a hefty amount of player skill involved, which can eclipse character skill even in a losing rock-paper-scissors scenario. And that just doesn't belong in EVE.

thats why those fights are on the planet and if you lack the skills for that you just not go there... you got the option to choose, thats why it should not bother you. the game is there anyway, no matter if you like it or not, we just want easy access over the client, you just not click the drop pod butten then, easy.
