While you are at remodeling the gas clouds, you could give the sun some love. (Proposal inside)

Hey CCP!

Immersion is fine and we all want it. Your suns are to bright. Well to be more precise: The function that maps distance to the sun to its visibility and brightness is not correct. Double the distance should be quarter the intensity. In EVE there is only a marginal difference between 5 AU and 10 AU Distance. Our solar system is dark and grim in the kuiper belt, 40 AU from the sun. In EVE, even 100AU from the star, everything is well illuminated.

Thank your for your attention.

Sincerely

I.

P.S.: You could apply that to the galaxy as well. Make high-sec brighter (closer to the center of the galaxy, higher density of stars) and nullsec darker.

I concur,

I live in a Cataclysmic Event wormhole and the whole sysem is blindingly bright. Our POS is 40 au away from the sun, but it feels like being on the beach during summer. Way too much light. It would be great to have lighting that changes according to the distance from the sun.

Also, thank you CCP for all the attention you've been giving the game!

This will certainly give reason for the 'brightness' slider.

I have to agree with this :)

It's still the same suns and old nebulae in high definition... Move some of those colorful suns and nebulae out of the wormholes to where they can be seen.
