Issues with the overview lock on window focus

So I've been away for a year and recently came back, and AFAIK it's now a feature that the overview locks itself when mouse is hovering above it (similar to what happened when we held down CTRL previously).

This is all fine (I'd prefer to toggle it off if possible) but my issues with this is that whenever my EVE window gets focus, the overview seem to lock itself regardless of where my mouse pointer is at. Like most EVE players, I browse websites while waiting (warps etc) and so it becomes annoying to constantly having to unlock the overview by hitting CTRL.

I'm currently using an EVE client through WINE (Linux) and so I guess this is an issue on my end, and not something every other user experiences?

If anyone knows a workaround for this or can confirm that it happens to them too, that would be very helpful.

I'm using a Fixed window setting for the client.
