Skillpoint Refund for Excessive Astrometrics Skilling

Are they changing the skill ranks (I haven't heard they are)?

This isn't the first time CCP has changed the scanning skills.... No refund then, no refund now... and don't expect skills to be completely the same in the future.

So, unless they are altering the skill ranks, I see no reason for a refund of SP.

They are. Did I not imply that heavily enough when I said it was losing skillpoint requirements?

It would be helpful if you elaborated a little more...

Give us the details!! State:

They are turning the Rank 3 Astronometrics Skill into a Rank ##
They are turning the Rank 5 Astronometric Acquisition Skill into a Rank ##
They are turning the Rank 5 Astronometric Pinpointing Skill into a Rank ##
They are turning the Rank 8 Astronometric Rangefinding Skill into a Rank ##

Each unit of rank lost represents a 256k SP reduction (if you have it trained to level 5).

However, According to this thread, they are NOT changing the skill Rank. Instead, they are providing Astronometrics, Level 1, to new players... which is a whole 750 SP... That's not worth any reimbursement level!!!!

Finally, realize they are also granting ~6m SP to people with BC V and Dessie V! I think losing some SP because they change the Astronometrics Rank isn't that big a deal in light of these changes!

According to my eyes, that thread does not have a developer response.

Anyway, I know I saw the change somewhere, directly from CCP, and when asked about it, they said it would not be receiving a skill refund. Can't tell if it was in Features & Ideas Discussion, or Test Server Feedback...

Your rank change is not listed in the test server feedback thread, which is directly from CCP devs.

Furthermore, this Mittani "scan tutorial" outlining the scan changes in Odyssey clearly shows the skill ranks are the same, which was created very recently (you can determine when the video was taken by looking at the 14 day, 4hr skill que that completes on June 12th, 0300).

In short, please go get some real evidence other than "I saw the change somewhere", along with the specifics of the change!
