The only criticism I have is that, like the fanfest tournament, teams should be moved to a station with all the items seeded at jita market price and teams had to buy and speed fit their ships. I can see a few issues with that but it seems like a fun idea.

"Jita Market Price" is a variable and "seeding" insinuates creating them from thin air. The point of the AT has always been that isk is at risk.

Thats why I added a few disclaimers in my post.

Wait wait wait wait. I don't even remember seeing this May 15th thing posted. Seems idiocy to post a join date before you even post the announcement of the tourney and rules and so forth. If that stands we do not have a legit team and I will be VERY disappointed.

k keep posting if you insist, but don't post stuff like this cos you're both wrong and shouldn't be speaking for the team in the first place

also you're posting about it weeks late

So in other words, "I think this idea would be good, but in case I'm wrong, I don't really think that."

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Flagships are able to fit faction, officer, cosmos, and Deadspace versions of the following modules, ignoring tournament rules to the contrary:

All Highslot Modules (not including remote armour repair modules, remote shield transfer modules, or cloaking devices)
Electronic Warfare Modules
Weapon Upgrade Modules
ONE Shield Booster or up to TWO Armour Repairers

Sorry, but you may want to specify that they are still able to fit T1 and 2 version of other mods. The first time I read that it sounded like they are only allowed to fit the specified modules, and nothing like hardeners or prop mods. Obviously that would be completely pants-on-head ********.

I suggest modifying the statement by adding "In addition to allowed tech 1 and 2 modules," to the front of the statement, and simply remove "ignoring tournament rules to the contrary" from the end, as that is implied by the opening phrase.

So are you saying we can name our flag ships something other than the name "disclosed"?

Why are Faction cruisers 5 points above regular cruiser? Faction BC is only a 1 point difference. Even navy BS are only 2 points, and pirate BS are only 3 points above regular BS. It just seems odd to have such a large point difference...

Does this mean that flagships are able to fit more than 1x Energy Transfer module?

Yup, for anyone who didn't see the news report, the weekend's excitement has delayed the start of the signups by one day.

Restricting the use of expensive implants. Has this become a newb tournament or what? Nobody wants to watch newbs in cheap hardware making a mockery of themselves and the tournament... Same thing with cheap registration and random, luck of the draw selections. You are risking some top teams to be excluded. Make a ranking already based on past performance and actual alliance size. Then organize preliminaries to pick the new teams competing...

This tournament offers unique vessels as main prizes, they are worth seriously competing over and worth investing time and money over.

Quit with this overbearing newb-friendly attitude already. Competing in the open and alliance tournament is supposed to be endgame for PVP-class pilots in EVE. Both for the participants and the audience, keep it that way... If this move is intended to get people like brave newb-esk pilots in, cut it out already.. Their time will come, but not now, no interest in babysitting monthlings.

Seriously reconsider what you are doing..

Radius

Edit: To add something constructive. If CCP wants to include new players I suggest you create a tourny with a maximum age or SP-limit. Now that could get interesting as smaller sized hulls might be the best some people can use. Or only able to fly a mediocre battleships because of SP-limit. Specialist would be needed and might not even be able to perfect their role while keeping to the age/sp limit. Sounds cool to me and equal chances for all the participants.

Reopen the EVE gate so we can invade Serenity. Goons can go first.

I don't see anywhere in the rules regarding bonus points if wiping the whole enemy fleet. Is the bonus points removed or just forgotten to be listed? By bonus, 25% extra bonus if wiping the enemy fleet, which had been for the past tournaments.
