Can I use EVE Online wallpaper as a base for a skin?

Hi! I'm planning to create a skin for a software based on Eve Online wallpaper (Retribution and, when it comes out, - Odyssey) and maybe other graphics from the CREATIONS section of EVEOnline web-site. Am I allowed to do that? I will give full credit for the images used. The skin will be posted to a public repository of the software I'm planning to create it for.
The software and the skins are non-commercial and open-source. The skin is intended for my private use and maybe my corp members will use it, too. As the repository of skins is public, I can't control or ensure who else will use the skin, though.
