Income without standings?

I'm returning to the game after a good break, from 2009, and having lost my old nullsec home I need to find a method to refill my wallet a touch or two before I head back into 0.0 with a ship I can hardly afford to lose. The problem is I have abysmal standings just about. I never ran many missions and spent a lot of time shooting empires in the few missions I did run (for pirate factions). Didn't train up social skills (and still don't want to) either so the grind would be horrendous.

Is there any non-sov alternative to anomaly and belt ratting these days? Preferably one that won't require a second account or a bunch of mission grinding.

Scan down C2 wormholes. These are not hard and you can fit a ship with scanner and salvager to be good to go. Remember to always scan down the way out first if you do not have an alt, so you got a way out if your ship gets killed.

Alternatively do FW, which will however give a whole lot less.

Incursions. As long as you have good enough sec status to get into high sec systems you can make a pretty penny.

PS: I'm assuming when you say standings you mean faction and NPC corp standings, not sec status.

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

Thanks for that. Looks like Incursions and ratting are my only above-board options. I'll have to check out the former in more detail.

This, get a T1 shield tanked BS and join TVP's channel, that's the best place I know of to get into incursion fleets when just coming back to the game.

Yeah, Maelstroms and Rokhs are usually only declined by the blingiest of fleets. Though with the upcoming mineral costs of BSs it might be cheaper to get a t2 logi, which will pretty much always get accepted.

heck you know how much loot I leave and salvage I leave doing missions? a crapton, although I think salvaging has gone downhill in recent past. I wonder if that crap is worth anything, might be I know the large smart bombs that drop sell for a mill each and when I used to loot stuff i might get 8-10 in 1 angel extravaganza mission and that is only 1 thing, probally has 30-40 mill in loot and salvage if prices have not crapped to much.

The correct answer is incursion running. It should not take long to build a nest-egg by that method and you need not bother to do any grindy stuff, asid from the incursions themselves which become every bit as tedious as missions, unless you fly logi. Blink

This is a great way to make ISK quickly... and should answer the salvage question.
