[Odyssey] Radar/Mag Sites Losing Salvage Containers

"We’ve removed Salvaging as a thing of its own in exploration sites. No salvaging sites will be distributed post-Odyssey and there are no special salvaging containers."

Because we're wormholers, I'm assuming we're going to be laughing our asses off on patch day when hardly anything has been addressed in wormhole space, but when they DO get around to Radars/Mags in wormhole space, where exactly are we going to be getting wrecked, malfunctioning, and intact hulls from? The Mag Cans maybe? Seeing as how it was 1 per site before at best, if they're not careful they could severely diminish the cost of Tech 3s even further, or significantly raise the cost if the hulls stop dropping regularly.

So, if they 'accidentally' the Radar/Mag sites for us, doesn't this mean t3 hulls are definitely going to sky rocket? Of course, it will suck, because no one will be buying our nanoribbons until its fixed. So win for people who are buying/selling/manufacturing hulls now, but loss for us who sell the salvage?

By how little CCP has paid attention to wormhole live, I'm really beginning to think that we play EVE Online: Wormhole space, an expansion of EVE Online that was farmed out to some random company/dev team, lost, forgotten about, and that CCP has forgotten is a major part of their product.

I mean, I've done null, I've done low (some), I've done high... I love wormholes. If wormholes go, I probably leave EVE.

I wouldn't get too "doom and gloom" about it yet.

From what I understand, wormholes stand apart in the code from a lot of the stuff they do, so if anything it will just remain as it was until they get around to updating us (if they haven't already).

I'm just concerned about how the distribution of the hulls is going to work post-change. If they move it to exclusively mags, that devalues radars somewhat. It could be nice if they moved the spawns to occasionally spawn in anomalies, but that runs into the issue of hugely devaluing the hulls if they appear too often.

Just needs to be addressed with a careful hand. And ACTUALLY addressed rather than avoiding talking to wormholers about it what is going to happen to them.

Last time I have heard wormhole Radars and Mags will remain untouched. Could anyone confirm this on SISI?

The prices of the hulls going up is bad for us in the short term, but in the long it wont do much. Prices on gas and nano ribbons will definitely go down, but blue loot is NPC and therefore will not change. (everyone here should already know this.)

But if the price goes down, then that will be a definite buff to wormholes. Cheaper tech 3s will mean more is purchased, produced and the less gas and nano ribbons on the market. At least for the short term.

Until null alliances start losing tech 3s by the hundreds, per day, then not much will change for us. God why did raiden have to derp their alliance and stop losing tons of tech 3s per day. (Im talking when they still lived up north of course.)

All this tinfoiling and nobody thought to check on Sisi, or even just ask someone before assuming that the sky was falling?

All the salvaging containers in all mag sites have been converted into new scatter containers, and their loot drops doubled to take into account for the fact that a solo player will only be able to grab around half the loot. This includes wormhole containers.

Hull sections will come from exactly the same places as they do now, just instead of using a salvager you'll use a relic analyzer, and if you have a friend (safe assumption in a wormhole I hope) you'll get twice as many of them to share between yourselves.

This is wormhole space, we don't check things, we prepare for them. That said, I've scrammed and webbed the sky to keep it in place Lol

Nice!

You should reduce the number of NPC's in radar and mag sites to enable solo/small gangs to run the sites in high class wormholes. Then just add the sleeper salvage, that we can get now, to the scatter cans.

I took the time quite some time ago to check WormHoles is SiSi the Data and Relic sites there have been changed to the new system of mini-game and that's it. You still get the sleeper spawns upon entry, the loot from the sites is the same stuff you would get right not.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Hey Fozzie. I just have to throw this out there. How about when you guys Mirror Sisi, you mirror my POS and ships as well. Then maybe we could more easily test Wormhole elements.

Otherwise I spawn in whatever ship I happened to be in when the mirror occurred (hopefully a scan ship) and have no assets inside.

so to test a Mag site (C4 in this case) I'd have to scan a way out. Get us to all fly out, fit up ships, probably a basic POS yada yada. Only then would we have the firepower to actually test.

Thanks for the direct response Fozzie;

Are the rat spawns going to be the same and the analyzing/hacking is going to be new?

And as Derath said above me, LOL at getting on SISI to test this. Good luck finding the right type of wormhole system and getting your ships in etc. etc. etc.

It's intentional that POSes don't get mirrored--if they did, people could use it to find any holes you might have in your defenses.

But yeah, testing in WHs on sisi kinda sucks. It also doesn't help that nobody's running sites, so there won't be many new site spawns.

People would have been if npcs were removed from them lol!
