Settings Repeatedly Lost since New Launcher Update

I apologize if this is a repeat post. I just clicked 'post' and no thread appears to have materialized, so I will assume it failed and attempt to post it again.

This may be an 'EVE' problem, or it may be a problem on my computer. I am going to cast this line and see if anyone else is having similar problems.

Since the new game launcher was released, I have experienced the following 3 times.

Iniital conditions: My computer is running 2 accounts in windowed mode.

Problem:
Computer completely freezes. This computer has NEVER frozen before. It is well over-built for just running EVE, so I am not taxing the system at all with just two clients running. (computer specs: Windows 7, i7 processor, 12GB ram, solid state harddrive, nice graphics card)

By 'computer freezes', I mean it completely stops working. The speakers go silent. The image on the screens does not change (mouse does not move, etc). crtl+alt+delete has no effect. The only salvation is to press the power button on my tower and force it down.

When the computer reboots, there is a problem with one client's eve settings. Some settings are the way they should be (chat window size and location, inventory windows, etc). However, my ship is now centered (normally I have it set to 20% offset to the left), the color scheme is wrong. My overview setup is reset to default. I get prompts again on 'Do you really want to enter null sec?' and 'confirm accept contract?' It is almost as if half of my settings were reset, like it were a fresh install of the game or something. My other client's settings are fine. Nothing missing. Nothing out of place.

I am also experiencing losses of settings without freezes. For example, in my on-board system scanner, I have a series of saved filters (ships, structures, Signatures, Cosmic Sigs and Anoms, etc). Today I found that the filter for 'Cosmic Sigs and Anoms' was missing, but the others were still there. Also, when I logged in today, my audio settings were different. For some reason my 'World SFX' was turned all the way down on both clients, but the other SFX categories were unchanged.

The freezes have not happened when I do not have 2 clients of EVE running, but that may be an unfair association, since this is my gaming computer and EVE is running 90% of the time if the computer is running. It is highly likely that if the computer itself is going to have a problem, EVE will likely also be running.

As I said, this computer has NEVER had issues before, let alone something as severe as complete system freezes. I have installed no new software in the past week other than the update to EVE. I have not gone to any -shady- websites or clicked on any links in-game.

Analysis:

I cannot identify if I have a piece of hardware failing which is causing the freezes and memory leaks, or if it is a problem with the update to EVE.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Side question: Where are the eve settings saved? It would be nice to be able to make a backup. Strange that one client's settings are repeatedly lost while the other client's settings have not been having any problems at all.

im having issues too since the launcher update

my FPS went dramaticly down.

my specs. in 2 compupters

MultiBox Computer
i7 3570k
32 Gb Ram
OS Drive raid 0 ( 2 x 64GB SSD)
Apps Drive Raid 0+1 ( 4x 128GB SSD)
Media Drive Seagate 7200 RPM 3 TB
GPUs ( 2x AMD HD7950)

Merch and Cynos Computer
i3 540
8 Gb Ram
OS Drive raid 0 ( 64GB SSD)
Media Drive Seagate 7200 RPM 1 TB
GPUs ( 1x AMD HD 6550)

in the main computer i was runing perfectly in the main 10 accounts. at max res 1920 x 1080 with performance details.
and on the merch and cynos i could run 4 without problems with performance setup.

now i cant GET TWO accounts online in the merch and cynos comptuer bc my FPS goes dramaticly to 2.72 fps
and on the main i barely can run 3 in "PLAYABLE" conditions when i launch th 4 client. the computer gets FROZEN.
and by frozen i mean.. ExeFile.exe process gets frozen.. i dont know why my process r HOGGING now.
with 1 client open..they only use 2-5% of my cpu. but the momen i fire the 2nd one it goes up each proces to 45% or even 49%

and B4 a clever GM or suppport wanna be guyz mention something.

i REINSTALLED my windwos 7 on both computer. reinstalled drivers. downloaded the eve client. FRESH form site.. "offline installer" and instal the game..

SAME ****. so is not my hardware or my computer setup..

ITS EVE LAST PATCH

Problem solved. A Microsoft Silverlight update slipped got in and was causing it all.

I should have never blamed you, EVE. You are the solution to my problems, not the cause. Let's never fight again....

Now now.

A plain sorry and explanation would have been good.

Don't promise something you don't want to keep.

It is still possible that they might do something bad one day and you will want to retain your right to riot.

But it is still refreshing to see people step up and say sorry when due ;)

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.
