What to dualbox with a rattle pilot in L4's?

I'm wanting to dualbox something with my rattlesnake (uses T2 sentries). I was thinking Mach, but open to other possible combos as well. I've got another account running a fullspread noctis pilot so while a marauder would be cool to add, it has more tank than I need given the rattle, I think, and the salvage servers no purpose any longer, so that niche isn't flavorful either. I'd thought about a nightmare but that's pretty specific to sansha mission lines.

why not 2 rattles, cap chain and spider tank combined with high damage at long ranges. New domi would be pretty good too.

I'd thought about it, but 2 drone boats.. the monotony ;p

Someone didn't fully read the post ;D
Have a fully skilled noctis pilot already on a 3rd account

well depending on what space you're in:

nightmare could be a pretty beast choice, cap chain setups with that could make it a new kind of awesome.

Other than that the navy raven and typhoon are going to be pretty beaastly come odyssey.

It dualboxes pretty well with most ships, with or without cap chaining. I would normally cap chain it with a NM in amarr and a Golem everywhere else. The only ship I don't dual box with it is a mach, would then just use 2 mach's, but for no real reason, just a change of pace.

Megathron with MJD. Rattler draws aggro and the Mega jumps behind the rats and gives 'em what for from the rear.
If you want to keep dmg selection and capless guns, Typhoon or CNR would be fun too.

You can dual-box a rattlesnake with pretty much anything. Hell, use a deimos and have fun. Flying around and zipping through the enemy ships with the sentries set to assist you as you blow the snot out of pretty much everything out there.

Go with a Nightmare and capchain with the 2 utilities. Make the Nightmare a DPS machine and the rattlesnake a semi DPS machine with drone assist. Warp the Rattlesnake in first so the Sansha will target and turret disrupt it giving your Nightmare free reign to slaughter at will.

With the changes to Cruise missles i'd put some on the Rattlesnake to assist with Battleships/Cruisers.

Here is a rough poorman's fit.

If you are a high skilled pilot and rich I would put on some faction modules and change some items around. You don't need much tank if you are destroying ships quickly.

I remember using shield transfers when I dual boxed. a cap chain is nice and all but it seems like more of a long term thing, the remote reps were more bursty. look at the "rough poorman's fit" above, it is just well... boring. Imo if you are dual boxing you shouldn't need to sit around long enough that cap transfer becomes useful. if you want to set your rattle up to support that isn't a bad idea. the cruise missiles aren't a ton of damage but still worth something, maybe a few remote reps are more important? that and I'd want at least one drone link augmentor. Probably some painters, tracking links, remote sensor boosters, or remote eccm. Probably only need a 3-4 slot tank (especially if you have a remote rep on the other ship) giving 3-4 utility mids.

I'd go with something with lots of gank. for the other ship, set drones to assist and blow the hell outta things.
