OS: Windows XP Professional SP3
Card: Radeon HD 3850 with newest drivers

Any info on that issue?

Had this issue on old laptop with radeon card in fullscreen mode. Switching to window or fixed window mode worked for me well.

I sometimes get that with my 4850 on my other desktop with latest drivers. I've never found a solution unfortunately.
