Issues, Workarounds & Localization

Right, without getting into the details of how insane this is, let me stick to bullet point facts:

- if you let your account lapse (ghost training in my case) you can then use "plex for hours" to open the account and apply game time, in the form of a plex, because you can't apply a plex while the account isn't active. Previously you had to petition for it but this system works fine and makes sense. Abusing this system in order to move assets or whatever is frowned upon, and rightly so.

- if you have a month free game time to claim via the buddy system you can not used that if the account is closed for some reason. Might be a conscious decision but, given CCP's track record, there's a high probability that the web code monkeys haven't been able to synch or make it work yet. Either way, I have a valid way to extend my game time (buddy invite reward) but I can't make that work on a closed account. Logically, you'd then think to use plex for hours to get the account active and then apply the rewards to get the account fully running again.

- If you'd see my account history you'd notice the last few months me applying plex four hours (because that's the only way to make this happen), immediately followed by applying my month reward. The account is active and used (except for 3 days a month) and nothing silly is going on. Yet for some reason my account is now blocked because "I'm abusing the system"


It seems that some of the VALID ways to extending game time are seen as second rate because they're good enough to keep an account rolling but not good enough to actually restart it. Done on purpose? Oversight?

So basically, you were intentionally wringing 3 days of unpaid training time out of the system on a monthly basis, and now you're upset because after doing this for several months, someone noticed?

Boy howdee, on this day, not a single damn was given about the guy who quit after abusing the system to get free training time.

All I saw was guy exploits the system, gets caught, Cries and Quits

meh no loss, I don't care if you've been in the game for 10 years, you were abusing the system, and getting free play time a few times.

Tough luck buddy, pay to play like the majority of people do, don't just exploit the hours for plex system which is only designed so you can apply a plex to your account to carry on playing.

Your selfish actions will no doubt cause CCP to think about introducing measures to stop this kind of abuse.

So don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out, cheaters won't be missed.

Part of me is sad to see you leave. Learned a lot from your post and fellow Dutchies are always nice to meet.

Though the "Hours-4-PLEX" is quite clear in their intentions to be a one time offer to resub. Abuse should be punished..
