Client doesn't start

I'm having an issue where the Eve client doesn't start at all.

One of my hard-drives failed today which had my documents folder on it (eve overview files etc). So I made a new documents folder on another drive for Windows. Re-installed eve from scratch, deleted the files under C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\CCP, tried the repair tool.

When using the launcher, the launcher windows pops up, fill in my login data and press launch. Then it says launching. The Eve exe file shows up under processes in the task manager, but nothing actually shows up on the screen. I can 'launch' the process 10 times, but still nothing on the screen while I'll have 10x ExeFile.exe running.

If I use the ExeFile.exe from the bin folder I get the same result.

I use Windows 7. 8GB Ram. I5 2500k cpu and 2xHD5870.

I tried to use the CCP logserver used for filing bug reports. It gave this error message:

AutoCompiler not installed: ('No module named sake.toolkit', 'sake.toolkit')

and 3 lines down this:

EXCEPTION #1 logged at 05/25/2013 21:25:30 Unhandled exception in 'TaskletExt object at 44eb270, abps=1001, ctxt=None'

It continues for about 35 lines with information about where the exception is being thrown.

Hopefully someone can help me with this. My personal hunch is that it's got something to do with my documents folder being gone with the failed harddrive. But I have no idea how and where to make a new folder for Eve.

I'm glad to report that after a few hours of %*%&(*& around, I managed to fix this. Apparently Eve was deadset on creating setting files on my F drive which died (drive where it used to write those files to). I gave one of my other hard-drives the F letter and it worked. What also worked was creating a new Windows account.

Would be nice if you could specify where you wanted your overview files, chatlogs etc yourself when you start up the Eve client for the first time. That would've helped a lot for me as this is more a workaround than a fix.
