Help a bro out with an eve online issue

My friend is telling me, that his eve is currently screwed: he is using a nvdia card

eve client red and blue
eve crashes when trying to adjust graphic settings
eve repair crashes when trying to launch

he has been telling me that other games work fine its just eve, he isntalled drivers for the video card which created the red and blue issue however the crashes were happening prior driver installs

Card series type for instance and other info about OS/hardware might help but at the first look I'd say he's an unfortunate rare owner of a corrupted version of it's drivers.
Many reasons may this happen like, too many downloads, browsing "suspect" sites/pages, and thousands of other reasons.

Another reason might also be the current status of it's hardware, are all fans clean, all power switches well installed, is he's power supply in good state or underpowered etc.

Without further HW information it's very difficult to help out or think of anything else than a corrupted driver installed.

My friend just had this problem. We left everything max except the Shader Quality. Set that to Medium.

You can always uninstall the current version and install the previous one if it was a good one.

Tell him to download previous version, choose the "manual installation" so he can check all boxes of what he wants to install but imho he should just check the graphics driver 320.14 instead of 320.18 for 400/500/600 series, all other features like Physis 3D and Tesselation not being used in Eve he should leave the latest ones.

This is exactly what happened to me after updating my drivers. Telll him to switch the 3D option off and all will be corrected!
