Why there's no growth in users on the site?
It's very interesting because it's almost flat, althoug it's sad that there's no data earlier than 2011. When the Incarna was released, dissapointing some of the old farts, and then dissapointing the rest because it was stopped for whetever reason.

So... It's very uncertain to me. Because the graph reflects the actual players in game, not alts.
Why it's doesn't grow?Ugh

in 2007 i've thought it's a sci-fi simulator, not an "e-sports" game. I'm not a teenager, how would i like it much?

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Recent expansions haven't attracted new players. I think the goal has been to keep old players happy as they work on other games.

Anyone else lost their dog?

I have deliberately developed an air of cynicism that I originally intended to make me appear somewhat louche and caddish but actually comes across as irritable hostility combined with the unspoken threat of sudden violence.....

To me that number represents the number of players wasting time on the forums instead of playing the game. Smile

Lies! Time on the forum is never wasted...unless you are mashing the 'New topic' button and asking the same question the other 50 front page threads are asking.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

The number of people playing EVE may not be growing, but instead the number of alts they own is growing. Also consider the figures CCP announce probably include DUST and China too, which both skew the figures.

read what you just posted ^^

It is the traffic that is hitting the eve online website. not the server itself which is located at a different ip adress.

So learn to read.

Time is never wasted when Unsuccessful or Chribba posts.

Incognito browsing, cookie blocking, all that jazz - It's going to mess with numbers and since the EVE crowd generally is more tech savvy than other communities, statistics from a page that relies on what's borderline malware aren't going to be that reliable :)

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

It doesn't mean much.

The graph shows the search frequency of WoW, EVE, FFXI, and Guild Wars 2. As you can see EVE has been fairly low since 2005. What does that mean? Nothing, really. Most MMOs, compared to WoW, are going to look very small.

Maturity, one discovers, has everything to do with the acceptance of not knowing. http://www.di.fm/spacemusic
