muuahahahah

So! by this time last night the DB Server the forums are hosted on had just about melted it's way through the rack due to pegged cpu's

high latency SAN disks were the root cause, and with all the activity on the forums/api/etc... each process took longer to resolve which meant more CPU being used, which caused more things to take longer to complete which caused more CPU to be used and on and on and on...

It was ugly

During today's outage we moved the forums and some other DB's to a different IO group and things are looking much better!

So you guys can bad post the night away!
