Precisely.

and in what way has exploration been dumbed down?

Preset optimized formations, removal of DSP while adding in similar functionality with no skills required, redone skills that make training easier and less need to specialize, making high end implants almost worthless, removal of T3 from 4/10(not like this matters to me personally).

Also space pinata for profession sites, which isn't really dumbing down, but just plain dumb.

and yet none of those things are "dumbing down" exploration, it just makes it less tedious and boring.

there's no relation what so ever between "requiring intelligence" and "boring as ****".

Unless the respawn rates are increased it looks like exploration will become dead to me. Instead of a niche that you trained into now it appears it will be a free for all.

The changes will also decrease the value and utility of my exploration Tengu, my favorite ship in the fleet.

Mission running harder last expansion, exploration easier this one. Really can't figure out where CCP is going with this.

From a game design perspective all of the old exploration systems have been outright bad (they redo them every few years, because they've all been poor).

Exploration sites, arguably the bulk of accessible PVE content, are buried behind an obtuse and obscure system that most casual eve players never even touch.

What you're saying is basically that because more people will be using this system, you don't support it because it will make them less profitable for you. It's not like the old system required skill, it was a mindless system that was tedious enough that many players were turned off of exploration entirely. Also, there are a huge number of less populated regions you can visit if you're concerned with site depletion.

Here, let me help you with this. CCP doesn't want new players coming into Eve, grinding repetitive missions for a month, and then quitting of boredom. They want new players to having a more dynamic exploration experience instead. Experienced explorers can feel free to leave high sec...

Since exploration is easier, could someone come help me get out of this system? I logged in years ago, and after starting my first mission, I got lost and have been floating around all these years looking for the exit.

So in which ( bolded ) category does the minigame fit?, after lets say 10 or so profession sites during an evening exploring.

Yes make those poor miners think they are more safe in a Ore Site while i don't have to use probes to scan them down anymore. Muhahahahaha

Except they can collapse all wormholes and not spawn a static one , and they will see new ones via autoscan.

New signature pops = dock on POS.

I do kind of agree though. I think it's cool it shows the anoms but the sigs should not show up on the overlay!!! BAD IDEA CCP!!!

That is exactly what i am saying

yeah thanks for leaving out HALF of my quote where I agree with you that CCP should not show Sigs through the overlay.....

I can not let the best analysis of the situation sink without at least one quote.

+1!
