I am relatively new to EvE having only started a few months ago. I decided to make Jackson my dedicated miner main. So! I'm looking for skills that will help me go solo as a miner in future. I've trained all requisite skills to fly mining barges and mining frigates, can fly both light scout and mining drones, and have trained contracting, Retail, Trade, Procurement, Remote Sensing, Social, Science, Engineering, and Signature Analysis so far.

Any suggestions to help with this would be appreciated Big smile

Also! INB4 "Lol, why don't you do anything interesting!?" I enjoy mining and I pvp and such and so forth on my two alts :P

do yourself a HUGE favour and train an orca on an alt and fleet mine with 3 together.

Solo mining is only really competitively profitable if you gas mine in w-space in a venture.

However if you're happy just making 10m/hour afking then get a mackinaw and whatever

My mining alts tend to turn into drone-boat pilots, like Rattlesnakes and carriers, as drones are a miner's best friend.

One of my mining alts is a HIC pilot, because I don't like to be disturbed by unwelcome guests when mining in nulsec.

You might want to start with the basics though, like Core Competency Standard certificate.
