When is this ship going to be fixed in terms of bonuses and/or fitting slots? I think anyone who opens up EFT and toys with fitting one will understand immediately. Seems like it was designed simply so that it wasn't just a smaller version of an Arbitrator. As if making that distinction was the only goal and functionality wasn't even considered.

It's bonuses do not reflect it's fitting options. Anyone else have any suggestions. This ship is really awkward and makes no sense.

Do with the ship the same we did with every other bad ship.

Don't fly it...
Helped getting most ship rebalanced recently.

Unless you come up with some crazy unique fit to gank someone, then praise it on the forums.

Or dont praise it on the forums and keep killing people!

First, skill up, you are only just two month old. All Amarr ships are skill intensive and need more then other race ships to get the best out of them. I have a Dragoon, and it's an evil little so and so in PvE. It has lasers, missles and drones. Unless you can use those well, you are better off staying with a Coercer which is a single weapon DD.
OK, Max here is seven years old and can get the best out of the class. It's just not a newbie friendly ship, so go with something less skill intensive until you have some decent skills.
And please, don't take that the wrong way. Most Amarr ships need a shed load of skills at high levels before you can say you are good with them, that's what I love about them. But as said, they are not the best for a new character

I made a high-sec explorer for anomalies and hacking sites out of it. Works rather well, but that's all I could make of it.

the problem is not the Dragoon, the problem is people still insisting on fitting it for solo work.

the dragoon is a complete beast in small gangs, stupidly op and cheap. im guessing it will get nerfed by removing atleast 2 of the high slots. either guns or neuts... not both! currently 3 small acs to pop drones and add some dps + 3 neuts are way too much.

similar opness is present on talwar gangs. but in that case its reliance on arbalest meta launchers kinda compensates. even so, once the talwar gang reaches a critical mass of 25+ pilots they can become stupid.

OP is right, the Dragfail is the worst new destroyer of the bunch. The Tal and Corax are decent dessies...the Algos is almost as bad as the Dragfail. I don't know wth CCP was thinking by making the Dragoon a missle/laser/drone boat for - should have made it a either a straight up lased with drones or missle boat with drones.

Plus all the other dessies have new unique look and the Dragfail looks like a bad Coercer knock-off. Couldn't we have gotten a new design for the Amarr dessie?

Ponies!  We need more ponies!

But that is actually the strength of the boat. Everybody knows, tank EM/Thermal against Amarr, now we have a ship that throws that right out of the window. Used right, in a Wolf pack and they are proving lethal.

Pretty much any ship is good at PvE. I can PvE in it just fine with a range fit of 3 beams and 3 launchers.

Currently, I have drones at standard (using T2), missiles and lasers at basic. I'm able to complete level 2 missions, including blockades. It's not a horrible ship for PvE by any means, but for PvP it seems very frigate specific. I hardly ever see frigates in fleet combat and when you do they are swatted so fast there is little to no necessity to drain them or their DPS is so weak they are ignored. And I certainly wouldn't want to go MWDing around cruisers and BCs in a dessies trying to catch frigates. They have no problem landing hits when I'm just using an AB. If it can't effectively drain at least a cruiser I personally feel the dragoon bonuses fill a pointless role based on my limited experience. A "drone bunny" seems like a far more effective anti-frigate tool for groups.

I would not want to be in a small gang, where I'm more likely to be primaried, in any destroyer; Much less a Dragoon.

A coercer is smooth and slick. A Dragoon looks more like ORE got into the destroyer making business. Maybe a Retriever had its way with a Coercer. It is definitely an odd looking ship by Amarr standards.

The mini-armor-Curse is an awesome solo FW cruising ship.

Great drone drone and armor skills make this beast shine
