New Launcher but... (unrelated to the Connection Issues)

Well, we have a new Launcher that enables us to log in from there but it's not able to safe things like screen resolution or general graphics audio and game settings, related to the accounts you log?

What's the point then? Just a new shiny front door with mechanics of the old one? I agree that this might be fun ingame (better graphics wheee) but not for things like launchers.
