Launcher Cannot Connect - Work Around

Hey Guys,

Eve just updated my launcher, I entered my username and password and clicked login and I cant connect. Something about offline mode.

The work around for me was to manually run the Eve program executable (not the launcher)

1. Go to your eve folder
2. Open the Bin folder
3. Run ExeFile.exe

Wait a few seconds and Eve program will launch. Login as per usual.

Did exactly that. It gave me a Incompatible Protocol Error.


Dunno whats up with the new launcher, I'm repairing the EVE client as we speak. =/

Even still, the client is not up to date, so login is not possible.

Works but when opened the log on screen displays a message saying something along the lines of
"The update has been downloaded. The client will now close and the update process begin"

There seems to be no way of clicking on anything that doesn't result in the log on screen closing and the update being re downloaded and installed.

I had the launcher saying it was offline or could no connect to content server message, seemed to work fine after I reboot my pc.

I'm getting issue with my launcher going instantly to offline mode and cant seem to fix it. Used the ExeFile.exe, downloaded the update again and i was back where i started in offline mode again.

Thats my current problem. It seems as if CCP hasn't brought the content server up yet. The crappy part is, I never saw this update coming, so all my skill queues end in less than 24 hours. So I'm hoping they'll fix this soon.

I dont seem to have a icon that says just eve.exe Instead i have these 3 launcher, eve and eve.exe(safemode) I tried both and no login

eve launcher >>> shortcut 2kb
eve >>>> application 536kb
eve.exe(safemode) 2kb

Either one i use i get same no go when eve seems to the eve.exe. Maybe i should reinstall eve?

You are not into the "bin" folder, you are just on top of it! Look up for a "bin" folder, doubleclick it to get inside and here's your exefile.exe

Getting the same problem here. I dont even remember getting an update, and it worked fine yesterday. But when i try the launcher, it says it cant connect to the server.
When i skip to the .exe and launch the game, i get an incompatibility error.

Problem solved.
Solution:
Uninstall EVE launcher and client, then re-install.
