Shield Compensation Skills Removal ?

Guys,
I heard a viscous rumor that these skills are being removed. Doers anyone have a date or link to a dev blog concerning the issue ?

I love the passive skills, very useful, hoping its not true.

They've become less useful, as active hardeners have lost their passive resist, and passive hardeners aren't that popular.

They do still have a use, albeit for unpopular modules, so I can't see them taking them out. And CCP don't drop skills very often, the learning skills are the only ones I can remember.

Passive tanks are often very useful imo.
