I started an account in 2006 and I only played for the 14 trial days. If I sub with that account will i get any back dated skill points? I have a new active account with almost 900k atm. I just want to be able to make the most of my efforts.

The old character will have all of its skills, assets and ISK as it had when you played.

And welcome back Smile

Edit; Misread the post a bit. That character stopped gaining SP as soon as the account went inactive (14 days), and unless you trained learning skills i dont think you will have any "free" SP on it. You might have a few neural remaps available, but im not 100% sure about that.

The skill points your friend had was most likely the reimbursement after they removed the learning skills.
You would get back however many SP you had put into learning skills which you could then use as you wish.

Gotcha,

There's no reason for me to reactivate my old trial account than.

Thank you!

CCP has only ever given free skill points once and that was a special case befor skill ques and when the were moving thier physical servers and even then it was a few thousand and only to payed accounts.

Always willing to help all you have to do is ask, though if you're in the other fleet I may not help the way you want. Just a heads up. Pub Channel: Lost Souls Trading Post

Nope, only active accounts got the free remaps.

Reopen the EVE gate so we can invade Serenity. Goons can go first.

Would definitely start anew, you have little to gain from that old account. Also keep it to yourself that you played before. Otherwise when you start looking for a corp many recruiters will think that you are some players' Alt (Another reason for not using that old unskilled account) and lying about your application. This could potentially harm your chances of getting in. They would also start asking for an API of the old account to check it. Having played before, corps also might expect more of you and be less patient when you ask questions. Better to be the new player you basically are, having only played a few weeks.

Trust me in this, it's good advice.

They also did that when they removed the learning skills. It still is a special case when it happens so don't count on it to happen.
