ive seen alot of fittings for the venture, but it came to my attention that none of those were actually ment to get the most out of it. why is everyone shunning deep core miners?

I think its because the venture only has two real uses that relate to mining. The first is as a hold over for new miners while they train for their first barge. The second is as a sneaky miner in dangerous space. In the first case the person flying the ship doesn't have the SP or ISK needed to really max out the ship's mining output. In the second case being fast and sneaky is more important than mining yield.

It's also a gas miner.

That is no way to talk about a mining ship... MAX yield is the only way to fit, regardless of threat, location or experience...
Lol

I prefer the bait Venture...

There is no such thing as a fair fight...

If your fighting fair you have automatically put yourself at a disadvantage.

yes, the venture is used alot as a suprise pvp frig i see. but i like to ninja mine sometimes, and then ofcourse, being quick is neccesary, but being quick also means getting your ore as quick as possible. then deep core miners would be perfect for it, as on paper, they have a 60m3 more yield than miner I, making them basically 1.33x miner II's

So as a new miner, it's a Venture I should aim at first? Train it to 4 and then go for a barge?

Ore or gas? and where do I find the gas people are talking about?

Gas are founds in ladar sites by exploring, ninjaing gas sites in WHs is actually very profitable.

The Venture is basically a ship that gets the most use out of stealing Ladars in WH space. Isn't a very good miner, but a decent/sneaky gas sucker.

So do you know a decent ninja gas harvester fitting for the Venture?

Emm, Yes of course, I mean the rest, in terms of defense or stealth systems, etc.

Probe launcher and 2 gas harvesters for the highs. You need a way out in case, and the harvesters are why you are in a wormhole in the first place.

Tank for the mids.

Low, dc or nano... Dc for more tank if rats are an issue, nano to get out quickly. Is there a gas harvesters upgrade? I think you should use rigs for fitting, not low, But if needed you could use your low for this.

Rigs.... Probing, speed, tank, or fitting if necessary, your call again.

Tank would, most likely be medium shield extender plus two hardeners (invuln, em). Prop maybe, but doubtful. Or if needed, cap, but I hope not.

Not much else you could do. This ship isn't exactly bristling with slots.

Maybe, if you are really paranoid, swap a harvesters for a cloak, but why? That would be a horrible reduction in mining speed.
