i already have many other ways to grief, however none of them require as many skillpoints or knowledge. Pretty big waste of time.

Also I think once all the carebears jump ship to that new Star Wars MMO, CCP will realize that the only real dedicated players they have in this game are the ones that enjoy the sandbox/social-engineering aspect of eve. Carebears really only want WoW in space.

I totally agree with OP here, dispite wether ot not the mentioned event is a exploit or not, CCP need to realise people spend years of thier lifes training to do certain things in this game. Buy characters with MT - yes MT!! shock horror!! buy plex, sell for isk buy character.

Like many other games out there CCP should follow thier lead and give a reasonable notice before changing certain aspects of the game as it directly impacts the players. Now not even putting in patch notes that they have made such a change is either a massive oversite, or just blatant incompitance... What if they "forgot" to put it in the patch notes when they changed the bubble physics so they pulled you out of warp and joe bloggs was moving billions upon billions of bpo's in a transport... drag bubble gets them and well they loose thousand ofdollars of virtual items. Would CCP reimburse that loss? Or would thier "logs" not show anything?? Look deep inside, you know the answer!

Now for ccp things like this are a bonus, means poor old joe bloggs has to pump more time and money into thier very very flawed game thus giving them more money and that all important +1 to thier server numbers, which i might add are slooooowwwlly dropping.

Sorry, but every edgy 'ninja' like you killing mission runners who don't know game mechanics, there was some elite pvper in lowsec stashing their faction ship in a carrier/orca when it got close to dying on station. So I'm not particularly sympathetic. Not to mention that hotswapping in orcas during combat in highsec was pretty ridiculous anyway - bring a station wherever you want, ignoring combat aggression timers, right?

Your small loss is for sure worth it for the reduction in station games lameness made possible by this change.

No, the way to fix station game lameness is to make it impossible to dock with agression, WOULDN'T THAT BE SOMETHING and if that were the case, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

Also, you seem to underestimate the kind of preparation and knowledge (and subsequent stupidity on the other persons part) it takes to set up a gank where an ORCA can catch up to a COMBAT SHIP of any kind.

I really don't think I am when you admit that it's the targets lack of knowledge of game mechanics that makes it possible. Furthermore, it's not station games that are the issue, it's docking ships in carriers/orcas specifically to AVOID the aggression timers. (i.e., to not lose a ship when aggressed) I'm fine with aggression timers as they are, this was a method of bypassing them. So sorry, yeah, had to go.

So first you give bears ezmode WoW-like incursions to run with almost no chance of griefing. It's basically free isk for anyone with half of a brain. Now all you see in missions is mission-bots which ccp will never do anything about because it's probably 25% of their subs. NOW you break the orca so that we can't swap while being aggressed, and without any patchnotes? I mean come on, NO PATCH NOTES? A simple "oh yea that thing you guys have been doing for years now, trained specific alts for, yea... it no longer works" would've been nice, but we're griefers so i guess we don't get the common courtesy that other players do.

Serious carebear nutthugging going on and I dont like it... Time to suicide every single 5.0 pod that is heading to jita for the next 2 months.

Seriously, this game is getting horrible.

This post doesn't even make sense, changing ships in combat was an unrealistic carebear feature, it was a way of REMOVING risk, now there is more risk, which is obviously why you are crying.

You kidding? there was plenty of risk, it actually allows me to risk an even more expensive ship than the one i'm initially shot in every time I gank. Anyways, it seems pretty obvious that ccp is going to continue to be gay and not even acknowledge the change. Back to suiciding for a few months.

I really don't think I am when you admit that it's the targets lack of knowledge of gang mechanics that makes it possible. Furthermore, it's not station games that are the issue, it's docking ships in carriers/orcas specifically to AVOID the aggression timers. TBH if you're competent at all you shouldn't fight someone next to a carrier/orca unless you have your own and if they're trying to bring one in you shouldn't be so failfit that you get outran by one, not to mention, you can just warp out when they swap. Orca or not it's still a 2v1 so you're still outmanned so orca or neut domi you'd still likely die anyways, l2pvp. It doesn't matter what the mechanics are because people will adapt to the mechanics, it's the CHANGING of the mechanics that causes problems when people have a lot of time and money invested in characters that do very specific things. ESPECIALLY when it's due to the cries of highsec carebears who have it way to easy in this game already.

I'm not sure what you don't get about the following situation - a pimped t3 or other such ship engages you on station, or even in a belt, or whatnot, and whether through bait tanking on your part or backup arriving is put in a situation where it will die before it is able to deagress. Instead of dying, he stores his ship in an unaggressed carrier and docks up safely/or stores his ship safely in the carrier while his backup arrives. The only thing this is doing is removing risk.

Similarly, your 'expensive' ship is never truly at risk when you can swap it out again in the event you run into some unexpected trouble. Change is the nature of MMO's - Orca alts are useful for plenty besides this specific tactics, if you'd like to unload yours at a discount I'd happily buy it.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? you DO know that there is a short window when storing the ship that it has NO bonuses and you could VERY easily 1 volley it. Anyone who swaps their shiney ship BACK into the orca/carrier is riding a very fine line.

All I gotta say is LTG, (Learn to gank)

Complaining about losing the ability to use an obviously broken game dynamic just shows you only lack the skill, and creativity of a true ganker.
