Some questions on Carriers

I'm considering starting a big new PI operation but I have a couple questions first

- What's the biggest cargo hold you can get on a freighter? Can you put cargo rigs on it?
- I've read elsewhere that if someone else uses several webs on a freighter it can go to warp in just a couple seconds. Can anyone confirm that?
- If the webber is in the same fleet as the freighter, will that avoid a Concord response in High Secure? What about in the same corporation? What about remote repair modules?
-What kind of hit-points do you get on a freighter

Freighters have neither module nor rig slots, so best you can get is the largest cargo freighter (Obelisk?) with the relevant freighter skill at 5.

As for webbing, that's considered a hostile action so the webber needs to be same corp (not fleet) to avoid getting concorded.

Must be the same corp for Highsec, you will get an aggression timer of 60 seconds What about remote repair modules? Freighter ganks are dealt with Alpha, RR is virtually useless
-What kind of hit-points do you get on a freighter Depends on skills around 1/4 million or so but most of that is in structure with 0 resists

The biggest you can get is the Charon with Level 5 Caldari Freighter -- 981,250 (WIth Level 4 it is 942,000)

You cannot increase this with rigs

This site has a good table for freighter sizes.

Surely you could use the new duel system to circumvent the corp requirement?

Same. So here is a question. I've read a lot about the classic travel and triage fits for carriers but can't appear to find a good example of either. Can anyone post one?

1. Surely your corp / alliance has saved fittings you can examine, or posted on private forums, or you can ask an off-duty FC, etc. Often these are the only fits you can get reimbursed for.

2. Try the Ships & Modules forum.

Travel fits tend to be all capacitor recharge and a cloak, with an optional remote repper for the cyno ship [I like to add a probe launcher]. Triage tends to be capacitor recharge, minimal resists, local and remote reppers, and a capacitor energy transporter. There aren't a lot of fitting options with triage. With triage, it is more important what other modules are in your corp hangar (eg. resists, smartbombs, neuts, points / scrams, DCU II, ship scanner, etc.). Boosters for capacitor (mindflood) are recommended too.

Travel fit is more a term for supers that need to build cap back up before jumping - with carriers it is usually dock and undock, now you are ready to jump with full cap. I suppose the ideal travel fit would let you fight off the largest possible gang, but that would mean swapping out capital sized hi's and those are 4k m^3 a piece so travel fit carrier is really just a fit carrier. If you expect to have jump/bridged backup I would use a triage fit with a cyno.

Triage fits need a lot of cap when remote repping and need a lot of resists when self repping. Luckily if another carrier is nearby you can use their fitting service with whatever mods you brought along for the ride. You want options, so bring a little bit of everything.

slowcat carrier fits are the other type you hear about. They are an armor spider tank with a cap chain and piles of sentry drones with drone optimal range boosted by the omni drone tracking module in the mids and drone range boosted by drone link augmentors in the his. You still want to bring extra tank modules to refit to when primaried.
