A new corp tax.

As I have flown around EVE there has been one thing that has confused me all this time.

Why is corp tax only for bounty?

Now I know most people fight for less taxes and not for more, but I think this tax system is a bit lopsided. It heavily taxes mission runners and complex runners, but leaves miners and market traders alone(Yes i know they pay a NPC tax for selling items). Why not extend the corp tax to selling things on the market? Or at least a corp tax for ore refine where the corp can get a small % of the minerals refined. This would also make miners in NPC corps want to find a player corp haven just like the NPC corp tax did to the every day mission runner. This would allow player corps to have a lower over all corp tax as well making them look even more appealing to the people in NPC corps.

Not only would it help players want to leave NPC corps, but it would also help wormhole corps make isk as well. As it is right now PI tax is the only tax a WH corp can really enforce all day long. They can charge players for ops by keeping some of the loot or ISK from a sleeper op payout, but doing this is time consuming. It would also help corps that don't have many mission runners to keep the corp afloat.

This new corp tax would need it's own % box or maybe a box to X for a flat 1% market tax.

any comments or ideas to make this better?

Bounties and mission rewards are currently the only point in the game inwhich ISK is generated. All other activities are simply paid for by the isk from bounties and missions. So corps tax it on its injection into the system rather then numerous times down the line. (theres still taxes and brokerage fees though on selling gear, PI and all that stuff.)

Also WH corps are more akin to a level of communism. Really, if they had good miners, and a full set of BPOs, they (or anyone in null) could technically be 100% self sufficient, and not require ISK for anything (other then the start up costs for gear). Its just BPOs are expensive, and radar sites are too few to sustain (also very rarely do they drop ship BPCs)

You haven't thought this out.

Suppose I buy a widget in station A for 100 ISK. I then sell it in station B for 110 ISK. I've made 10 ISK profit. Now, suppose you put a 10% tax on all sales. This would tax me 11 ISK, reducing my profit to -1. The result would be that noone in any corporation would do any trading, manufacturing, or PI.

your point about taxing ore reprocessing might have some merit.

Umm people would just wait for more of a % spread. They would buy this widget at 100isk and sell it for 120. Yes you would make less, but you would be helping your corp. or just make your own corp and set your tax to 0%

Wormholes dont have moon goo they would have to buy the goo from nul for T2 items
