Can you run huge fleet fights on Ultra Settings, without Graphics Lag?

I am talking about huge fleet battles of 200 - 300 people or more, without any graphics lag. (I'm not referring to server lag).

If yes, what kind of CPU / GPU do you use?

Thanks.

im using an old ATI 5870/AMD Phenom 1090T and i don't have gfx lag at all, main has seen up to 1k+ ships on screen and fraps recording showed 45fps +/-, and im not talking about doctrine vs doctrine fleet fights where there's tons of ships, but they are the same model, im talking about a clusterfuck fleet like asakai.

i do have turrets off when on fleet + no drone models. explosions, smoke, hdr, shadows and fsaa are enabled. all at 1920*1080 windowed. (sound off, and only one client)

gfx wise the game has been running flawlessly lately, it did take a lot of patches to get back to this levels after the retribution exp. something broke with it and it killed FPS for months until it was fixed.

as usual if you don't have a good preset for brackets your CPU could be a bottleneck, i guess the overlays the game uses for brackets rely more on the CPU instead of the GPU.

Oldschool 295 GTX here with an even older Q9550 Core 2 Quad. and I only have 4 GB of 1033 ram... I dont lag until I get upwards of 800+ or so when I drop down to below 30 FPS on ultra but I do turn off all non ship brackets and most effects.

Heck no. My PC is pretty crappy, I have one of those horrible video cards that borrow RAM. Anything that involves clouds, particles, and other unoptimized crap makes it go nuts. The amount of pilots doesn't really matter, I always fight zoomed out anyway. Zooming in when fighting causes enough latency to make me lose fights, because the UI isn't responsive anymore.

I just have a hard time caring enough to warrant replacement of my video card. I have better things to do then temporarily optimize performance on a rig intended to browse the internet and play XCOM: Apocalypse and other titles of that era. Eve is the exeption, and doesn't get any special treatment.
