What happened in the market????

Ok I have been selling some mission items on the market reciently, but just today, the prices have seem to taken a drastic drop in price..

Just earlier this morning I was selling Minmatar UUB nexus chips for about 5.2 mil each.. The price has just suddenly dropped to under 4 mil. (I could have sold them instantly for more then what they are ON THE MARKET right now)

And a simular price drop seems to have happened to everything im selling..

Upgraded 'Malkuth" light missle launcher went from 3 mil to 1 mil. 250mm 'scout' accelerator cannon from 2.9 mil to 950k

I would post more but its just too much typing .. you get the point.. Everythig took a dive like that.. What happened? should I buy? or did some change that I dont know about took effect?

Any ideas?

There are occasional loot table changes, but I've found that it's much more common that the market simply fluctuates over time. If you're feeling skittish, just sell your stock... but if you're feeling frisky, now's a great time to stock up while the market is down.

Ok thankyou. I am definatly going to have to learn more about the market before I can make any sort of investment. Because if this much can change in 24 hrs, im really curious how the market is effected overall. In the little time that I have been watching the market I have never seen such a drastic reduction in prices. Ive seen it going down maybe 10k or sumthing by someone trying to make the lowest price, but not by 50%+.. If this market price sticks, thats a 50 mil loss on my part. Not that its a lot, its just such a sudden loss I don't really know what to make of it yet..

Ill just have to see what happens I guess :)

Hmmm... I used to trade fuel blocks for 18-22k each. Then they dropped down to 9-11k for a long time. Now they're back up at 18k. Things change.

Ed: Nanoribbons used to be 40% more or so too. I remember driving the price of Ruptures up in Dodixie up to 10m each for about a month a few years back when they were selling for 4.5m each. The crash on that was pretty hilarious.

Some of us mission runners save up LPs for when the prices on them skyrocket. I just unloaded a bunch of UUA in Rens for a very nice LP to ISK ratio. Blink

Anyone know which items to invest for the long haul? I have no issue waiting to make isk back.pro market tip: acquire prostitutes in contacts. Sex is always in business.....Big smile

i don't know how people actually manage to sell things on the High sec market due to all the market bots around What?

It depends on where you sell your loot. In minor hubs like where you might run your missions, prices can fluctuate very drastically. If you're doing it in Jita or Amarr there's a much lesser risk of fluctuations.
