How to deploy a command center on a trial account

Thought I'd make this to help with doing PI on a trial account.

Currently on day 5 of my trial, and after looking at the slick planetary management interfaces, I knew I had to give it a try. I trained up remote sensing, bought my command center, had my industrial from the mission and then when I was all ready I discovered trial accounts cannot train the industrial skill, which is a true shame because how else can you deploy a 1000 m3 command center without an industrial? I think its silly that you can train planetary interaction skills on a trial account, but there is no way for you to use them.

But after checking out all the gallente ships + some special editions, it appears there are some (unintended) extreme solutions. The primae can haul command centers without any skill requirements, for the unaffordable price of 22 million isk.
The one reasonable solution is to get the exequorer with 3 Type-D Altered SS Expanded Cargo modules. That gets you to 1005 m3, just barely enough to haul a CC. The cruiser costs 5m + ~300k for the 3 cargo expanders, still expensive but manageable.

Hope this can be of help to someone out there.

Can also be done with certain frigates with rigs and cargo expanders. Can get a Magnate up to about 1600m3 or so, iirc.

Choosing the appropriate ship/expanded cargo combinations will give similar options for the other races.

Amarr get the widest choice owing to their numerous low slots.

Dang, I'd rather use that then since frigates should be less expensive. What exactly do you need to fit for modules?

The rigs are called small cargohold optimizations and require astronautics rigging to fit (rigs, though, can be used without the skill, so long as someone with the skill installs them).

Once those are on, any old expanded cargohold modules should be adequate to get you above 1000m3. Expanded Cargohold IIs will take you to 1600.

Here's a Gallente frigate that will do just fine, it even has an MWD and cloak would you want to venture into low sec space for your PI but that is ofcourse very much optional.

Just a note on the primae it was a one time gift that was given when pi was first released which is why they are so pricey compared to other Indy ships.

Always willing to help all you have to do is ask, though if you're in the other fleet I may not help the way you want. Just a heads up. Pub Channel: Lost Souls Trading Post

No need for rigs or T2 modules on a Magnate.

A full set of Meta 4 expanders will get you over 1000m3.
