How about a caplevel display in the Watchlist?

Example:

Only display caplevel of Ships on Watchlist, NO other Ships.

Sounds good to me +1

I'd support this, too.

If you're driven to threaten others with harm or violence because of what they do in game, you can't separate fantasy from reality. That "griefer/thief" is probably more sane than you are. How screwed up is that?

I guess this would make the life of a logi easier.

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

The cap bar takes too much space in my opinion, but using different color is nice.

Overall good idea.

But I would like to have an ability for someone to view a hostiles cap, whether it be a passive thing when you lock the person (the same way you can view their health). The other option would be that you need to have an additional module to view the persons cap level. This would be used for Neuting ships primarily so you can see if you can see if you need to continue to cycle all your neuts or if you can begin to spread them.

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.

Also you can use a ship scanner to see a hostiles cap level.

That's called a ship scanner Blink.

That's a bit like saying industrials should have more cargo space so they don't have to waste low slots. Roll

well why should you get this information for free? you cant see ship fittings and cargo contents without scanners too.

On the other hand you have no problem with that you can see how much (proportionally) other ship has of shield, armor and hull? ;)

Point is, we already get shedload of information for free. So the discussion is not about the principle but about details: which information can we get for free?

In my opinion it's okay for ships within a fleet to communicate with each other and transfer some vital metrics.

Getting them from neutral and hostile ships should require more effort.

This is for friendly ships, you shouldn't have to fit modules to get important information from friendly ships...

not the same

1- you waste a midslot

2- you can have cap level ONLY for the ppl you have locked, AND only one at a time

i support this, i'm no logi, but the logi i fly with are pretty good to act ahead of broadcast, allowing us, FCs and pilots, to dedicate ourself to combat at 100%, doing the same about cap would be very great, any FC or logi pilot should welcome this, a big +1 from me too

no, for this, then use a ship scanner.

there is a difference between having intel on your friends, and having it on your foes, having it on your foes require extra investment, such as someone dedicating a much needed med slot to provide your fleet this feature

Well you're friends are already sending you info on their shields armor and hull, it wouldn't be too hard for them to send cap data as well. Either that or ships REALLY need upgraded data transfer controllers, if that 4th number would be overloading their throughput.

As far as the ship scanner. The hell would you want to run a ship scanner for? Almost worthless module, that only delivers data on a cycle (unless its been changed), and not in real-time. The only time this mod is ever used is in highsec ganking fleets who put it on and (sometimes) a acoustic targeter, so that they can see if its worth downing the target ship. (and even then, virtually none of them use it).
Perhaps if it worked like a survey scanner. And would do a pulse, and return the info about EVERY ship in the area. Someone would probably come out with a deciphering tool for it. Copy the report to a website and it would tell you what resists the ship will have and an average DPS readout. That way you could monitor your teammates, as well as the enemy. That would start being borderline overpowered though. (great new FC tool tho)
