Hey everyone i am brand new to eve. First question is there a way to make good amounts of isk i only make a few hundred thousand every cargo fill and it takes for ever. I Don't want isk quickly or anything but i don't get the whole market thingy so i thought to my self why not mine its just not fun. Now is there something i could do more fun Military science if so how would i start off into that.

Thanks everyone:)

You can google to see locations but every school in EVE has starter missions lines and each of us can run every one of those. If you were to run all the starter missions for all the schools in each race you would be pretty close to 50 mill I would wager. It's repetition but it is solid ISK for minimal asset requirement.

Um, just find a level 1 security agent in a station and run some missions, or open your scanner and hit the "analyze" button and find a cosmic anomaly, and do that. Neither should be difficult with a frigate, though some anomalies, even in high-sec, can put out decent damage. Missions would be a safer bet.

Oh, and don't get discouraged just because you're new. This game has a pretty steep learning curve, but pretty soon things will start to make sense.

And don't avoid pvp, no matter how new you think you are, after you've at least decently familiarized yourself with the interface.

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

Everything in this game can make you money. Find what you really enjoy than learn how to make money out of it. Also please explain what do you mean by "military science".

Or join a Faction Warfare corporation. Pretty easy to make isk via that way, and can be solo's pretty effectively once you've been taught how to use the directional scanner to look out for potential targets coming into the sites.

That, or like stated above, just start grinding those missions. Be sure to read up on them via EvE Survival before starting, and tailor your resists and damage type to match.

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.

My protip: Go steal ****.

Get a T1 ship, slap some nano's on it and little bit of e-war and a mwd and you are good to go. I got ships fully fitted for around 2.5 mil ISK. They go about 3.5k ms

Now look at the map and see where fighting is going on.

Crash the party, since all the cool kids fight with expensive stuff steal the most expensive items from the wrecks and as soon as you get yellowboxed (being targetted) gtfo.

Repeat this multiple times and make money.

I have a better suggestion. Go make an alt, come back here, post something really cute like:

"Hi guys, I am new to eve. I went to null sec with this ship I worked 3 weeks for to get, a cormorant. I love destroyers, they look so beautiful. Anyway, I went into null sec and then I saw all these flashes and lightnings and red flashing lights and suddenly I was in a space station. All i wanted to do is be free, explore the universe, and now I lost everything, everything I worked so hard to achieve. I am so sad Sad "

good luck

I definately second the stealing idea! What you can do is play with agression mechanics on gates.

You'll die a few times, as you will need to discover what ships can kill you quickly on a gate, and what ships would get killed by the gate guns. But with some luck you can find wrecks with good (t2) stuff in it... remeber you will go flashy (get a Suspect flag) once you steal! So once you find a wreck with some good loot, grab it when the situation allows (just after a fight people who have gone flashy might not immediately return to the gate, as guns will no longer respond to agression AGAINST them) and run like mad! You can also hide in safes for a while, but don't sit still too long or people might probe you out eventually.

Or just join a PVP corp in lowsec or Faction Warfare. You will learn the basics of PVP quicker if you have a group in which you can learn, and when you are involved in the shooting you are also elegable for looting!

And to add to that, to avoid going flashy, go steal stuff in NPC 0.0. Learn how to survive there and how to spot traps and burn back to gate when things go wrong. Or warp off.

When you dont go flashy, most FCs/people won't target you because they'll hardly notice you are there. Pirate

^^pretty much this. On a good day you can pull down 100 m or more. While losing ships every 15 mins.

I guess military science (played Star Trek by any chance) would possibly encompass combat/exploration.

As for isk, quick way, is buy (from CCP) and sell (in-game market) PLEX.

If you don't go the PLEX route, then earning isk will be fairly slow to start with, but as the weeks go by your earning potential will increase.

The best way for a new player to start making large amounts of isk quickly is through criminal activities. If you go down the "legitimate" route of mining/industry, PVE, or trade, you will find that your isk-making potential increases slowly. Eventually you will make good isk doing those things after months of slowly training and grinding, but those activities also can get very boring very fast, and the average player quits before he maxes out his earning potential in that way.

Criminal activities, however, often allow you to bypass the grind and jump right into highly profitable activities. The folks above me had a great idea in roaming low and nullsec looking for battlefields to loot. That sounds like great fun and good isk. You will surely lose ships doing it, so keep your fits cheap and you should easily make enough to cover your losses. You can also ninja loot in highsec by scanning down mission runners and stealing their loot. I have easily made 100 million per day and more doing this with very low skills and cheap ships. Don't neglect scamming either. PT Barnum was right, there is a sucker born every day, and plenty of them play EVE. It doesn't even matter how stupid and obvious your scam is, if you are persistent somebody will fall for it.

I'm new as well. After doing some of the starter tutorials I got a Venture with 5k cargo hold.
30 minutes to fill up the ore hold nets me approx 1 million. A little boring, but gets me the cash I need.

Wait...you don't like mining and went to mine...

Wrong.

Do what you like, there are plenty of things to do in EVE that are fun and make you ISK.

12 sets of tutorials will net you far, far more than 50 million ISK. More like 200 million, if you sell the ships you are given, or if no good buy orders, scrap the ships you are given and sell the minerals.

The tutorials, then the Sisters of EVE Epic Arc are the BEST money you can make early in the game from running missions.

Also good money is ninja salvaging other mission runner's wrecks. That is going to get way easier in Odyssey with the probe changes.

Mining in a frigate or grinding L1/L2s for thousands of ISK an hour is for people that just do not know any better. If you aren't making millions of ISK an hour, you are wasting your time.
