New Incursion Sites

I like running incursions, but they can get a bit repetitive. I think the root of this problem is the fact that there are only a few different sites per "weight category" of incursion... So I thought I would come up with some ideas for a new type of site in each category (Scout, Vanguard, Assault, Headquarters). Here goes:

  • Category: Scout
  • Name: Nation Beachhead

  • Description: Local navy reconnaissance patrols have scanned down what appears to be a wormhole, but the sensor signature is inconsistent with anything on record. Naval forces are currently pre-occupied defending inhabited worlds from Sansha raids and have requested assistance from Concord to investigate further.

  • Warp-in Message: Sansha advanced scouts appear to have constructed a number of small emitter arrays which are directing energy beams into a nearby wormhole. A final emitter is still under construction and the area appears lightly defended. Sensors indicate the presence of a large fleet of battleship class vessels on the other side of the wormhole. Destroy the Sansha forces constructing the emitters and hack the operational ones to disable them and collapse the wormhole before the Sansha reinforcements can come through!

  • Objective: There are 2 operational emitter arrays and 1 still under construction. Hack the 2 operational ones to disable them and collapse the wormhole.

  • Completion Message: The wormhole collapses as the final emitter array is compromised and the Sansha defenders flee the scene after self destructing their constructions to prevent the mysterious wormhole-related technology falling into enemy hands.



  • Category: Vanguard
  • Name: Slave Soldier Warehouse

  • Description: Human beings that are successfully abducted from local inhabited worlds are brought here to this facility to be implanted with the cybernetic hardware required to turn them into slave soldiers. These compounds are also responsible for identifying those specimens with the physical and intellectual qualities desirable in potential clone templates. These rare individuals are then transferred to Nation Rebirth Facilities elsewhere in the constellation.

  • Warp-in Message: The people here are already beyond helping. The best thing that can be done for them is to destroy the facility before the implantation procedure is completed to prevent their minds being transferred into fresh clone bodies each and every time they are forced to give their lives in the name of Sansha Kavakei.

  • Objective: Destroy the slave warehouse. Detonating the auxiliary power generators should cause the warehouse's shields to drop, thus making it vulnerable to weapons fire. Beware: attacking the power generators is sure to attract the attention of the local Sansha garrison!

  • Completion Message: With the destruction of the local SSW, Nation forces will have to curb their abduction rates for lack of anywhere to put their victims. Be on the lookout for a new warehouse being constructed in the near future.



  • Category: Assault
  • Name: Nation Shipyard

  • Description: This appears to be a facility where damaged Nation ships can be repaired and re-armed. Additionally, there are a number of dry-docks containing Nightmare class battleships under construction. The shipyards are heavily defended and spread across multiple deadspace pockets; this will not be easy.

  • Warp-in Message: The Sansha garrison has detected your approach and is scrambling to intercept. Defeat them and destroy the shipyards to cripple Nation's efforts in this area.

  • 2nd room Message: As you enter the deapspace pocket you detect a hostile fleet departing from a supply depot. Having just re-armed and resupplied, they move to defend their facility. Take them out and eliminate the depot.

  • 3rd (final) room Message: Upon entering the final room of the deadspace complex, you are confronted by a truly terrifying sight: A wall of Nation vessels defending a capital ship construction bay containing what appears to be a fully operational Sansha dreadnought. This wasn't on any of the intelligence reports... Destroy that shipyard immediately! Don't let the dreadnought power up!

  • Objective: Destroy the Sansha ships and objective structures in each room.

  • Completion Message: That was close. The dreadnought was destroyed when the shipyard exploded around it. The remaining Sansha vessels are retreating now they have nothing left to defend. This facility won't be re-supplying any more Nation forces any time soon.



  • Category: HQ
  • Name: Fleet Staging Point

  • Description: Scouts report a significant gathering of Nation forces. This looks like one of the main rally points for hostile forces in the constellation. Most significantly, Sansha radio chatter coming to and from this location bears command level encryption protocols: either the Sansha's Nation Flagship is here or it is in direct communication with another vessel at this location.

  • Warp-in Message: The Sansha's Nation Flagship does not appear to be present, however sensors detect a smaller, carrier class capital ship. RFID tags identify the pilot as one of the local incursion commander's top lieutenants. Taking him down will severely hamper Nation strategic planning in this area. His support fleet isn't going to make it easy though...

  • Objective: Eliminate the Sansha lieutenant's carrier and supporting fleet.

  • [*] Completion Message: The local incursion commander will be most displeased by the loss of one of his carriers and an entire support fleet. That lieutenant is going to have a very bad day when he downloads into a new clone...
