Passari – Kaalakiota Corporation announced today that it will begin selling off assets owned by its subsidiary Echelon Entertainment in order to cover its upcoming debt payments to Caldari Funds Unlimited. The move, which has been expected by analysts since news of KK's financial difficulties were first brought to light, is expected to provide the megacorporation with enough operating capital to meet all its obligations in the coming quarter.

As far as I know, Echelon Entertainment doesn't have a news wing.

It seems to focus on very lavish, very long (3-4 hours as average) historical holofilms, or other projects of cultural value. I know they have at least a dozen biopics of Admiral Yakia Tovil-Toba and each has done wonderfully in the State domestic market.

As a member of the investing Caldari population, I am hopeful that this will lead to a public float of Echelon Entertainment. My Portfolio would be more rounded with such a Blue Chip, and have access to capital to invest should this happen.

Plans are in motion regarding this, pending some clarification from CEP and CBT.

I would ask that persons who are interested in Echelon Entertainment continuing as an independent entity please contact me privately. And pray. Prayer would probably be a good idea.

I have no doubt that Echelon Entertainment will survive. However, if and when all the important properties are sold to Nugoeihuvi, they might as well call it Raata Productions again and make it the KK private press. Unless some other corp wants to dip their toes into the entertainment business. I do not really see Heth selling Caldari cultural property out of the State.
