For too long the bourgeoisie have controlled us. They have many names: Holder, Shaman, Empress, Senator, Executor, President, Tribal Leader, Prime Minister, Heir, Sanmatar. No longer! It's time the people rose up and overthrew these oppressive 'leaders' like Remedial did, when he created Goonfleet.

We seek to establish a dictatorship of the proletariat, where the people have a say over their own destiny, not some bourgeoisie that sits on a throne worlds away and takes the fruits of our labor for themselves. Slaves and outcasts, the disenfranchised and downtrodden will be a thing of the past. Workers of the cluster unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains. Follow the example set by Remedial and Goonswarm and overthrow the bourgeoisie.

If more people would stand up and say that enough is enough, if more people would follow the example of the unnamed assassin, the Cluster would be a better place. So, I say to you: kill your oppressors, join the revolution.

Somewhat generous.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

What you need is a few weeks of good and honest labour at my production lines. The change of pace will do you good.

You claim those 'leaders' are bad, yet you practise a cult of personality of Mittens who with his "clique" rules over you because without them you can't find a purpose of your existence, and treat anyone that doesn't belong to your organization as someone worst than a human being.

No, thank you.

Does anyone else feel like the word "bourgeoisie" is itself bourgeois?

The Empress is not part of the bourgeoisie; she's nobility or aristocracy you ignorant proletariat.

Not at all. The culture of the megacorps is the most bourgeois in the cluster yet the word bourgeoisie is very Gallentean in use.

Taisia,

I don't think you know who or what the assasin was working for, and his actions certainly didn't make the cluster a better place as far as I can see. If people like Midular are considered oppressors and should die, then I guess I should just terminate my wretched existence.
And really, I don't think you'll get much support from the elite; the capsuleers. We're not really part of the proletariat. And I doubt the proletariat would see Goonswarm, a capsuleer organization, and a horrid one at that, as an ally in the revolution to overthrow the bourgeoisie.

Ah, the wretched, wretched chains of having enough functioning neurons in one's head to form a coherent thought:

Oh, how horrid!

Ignoring the Goon for a minute and going off on a some-what tangent, but what would happen if the Federation found that the murderer was hired (or worked for or wanted to do this for) the current Minmatar government? That they wanted Midular dead and in such a way so they could do what they are with "impunity" and have the people on their "side"?

Its a scary thought, IMO...what if the Federation suspects this and that's why they won't let the Republic help in the investigation? And would also explain why the Republic would go to such lengths to get him back...

Yeah, conspiracy theories and all...I have nothing against the Minmatar people at all (many of my friends are Minmatar), but their government is acting very strange...

An even more interesting discussion would be what if they have found evidences to support those suspicions. Should it be publicized to all right away? Or should we blackmail?

I don't honestly know. Personally, I'd be keeping quiet until I'm sure one way or the other. After all, look at what's happened due to the Republic Fleet crossing the borders...if they said that there was some evidence of the Republic being behind the attack...I don't want to think about the violence that would break out just on a possibility.

And if they released info that the Republic may be behind it, but then it turns out they aren't...that would be bad for everyone involved.

Well, if there's incriminating evidence, then it is certain. That was the hypothetical situation.

Revolt against the wealthy and powerful! So sayeth the capsuleer who regularly has more economic clout than colony worlds.
Revolt against the wealthy and powerful! So sayeth the capsuleer who regularly causes thousands of deaths just looking for fun.

No one sees a little bit of irony here?
