Is it possible that you got banned for account sharing? As in, you or your husband said somewhere in public that you both use the same character(s) and someone reported it to CCP.

I have also heard of someone who got banned first for using a marco, explained to CCP that him and his wife worked different shifts and thus she would be around using the account mining in the afternoon, while he did it in the morning or something like that (you know how it is when you hear a story from someone who heard it from someone who heard it from their best friend kind of thing ).

If it is account sharing i have no idea how long the ban will last or what other consequences this will have.

Did you recently purchase a character from the forums? I remember one time I purchased a character, and everything was gravy, and was using the character for two days.... then I guess ( I cant confirm), the seller got cold feet or some ****, and reported me for scamming him (which I did not) and I woke up the next day to a banned account for scamming on the character baz.... It took about a week to get cleared up.....

Kind of comical though...

Another way to get banned is giving an item to someone for free. If that guy than RMTs the item, you get banned too. Trying to get unbanned takes months, if you even get unbanned...

To clarify, this means discussing details of a specific ban, characters banned, what you did to get banned, associated GM actions and similar stuff that pertains to the individual case. General discussion of the time it takes for a situation to be resolved, advice on how to best help the GM help you, etc. are all fine, but take care to not cross the line (or one of us ISDs will have to drop by).

In other words: please do not ask about who the banned character was, or what he/she did to get banned. Such conversation does not belong here.

Usually the 30 day banned accounts petitions are first looked at on the 31st day

I will get a 6 month ban next time I screw up lol. some people seem to petition anything , I got my 1st 1 month ban for saying something like. are you going to be a moron all your life?

and yeah couple days later 1 month ban lmao

As far as I know:

* Temporary ban: A duration notice pop-up appears upon game login. E-mail notification is sent.

* Permaban: Game login and account management are disabled, without notices, and attempts to change the account password will show the account as banned. Forum login show the account as banned. E-mail notification is not sent.

Ban petitions have their own queue, and are handled by a security team investigator. Investigations can take time. Be patient, polite, and supply them with as much info as accurately as you can, and in a timely fashion to minimize the turnaround time.

If CCP makes a mistake, they will apologize and may reimburse you for lost gametime.

I just woke up today to find the same situation on one of my accounts. I've never done anything remotely against the TOS so I just can't understand why that account got banned. It's also my main account, so it's even worse. I wonder if the OP has had her issue resolved yet? I seriously hope it doesn't take weeks or months.

Getting your banned account back is only determined by one factor. How successful your DDOS attack on CCP is.

True Story, I heard off some Russian sailor I met down the dockyard.... Ebay was the name of the dockyard, I was looking to purchase a pre set ISO boxer... which is totally legit in CCP's opinion. The sailor just told me to cut ISO boxing out & he'd sort me out.
