The new Paladin is actually red, a welcome change from FPS brown. Will this colour be applied to the rest of the Carthum ships, too?

Ah, I was just wondering, why the Paladin had Sarum textures and not Carthum ones.

but all in all, congratulations to this fine new model!

Yes, Paladin should have Carthum logo, it's the same bug we saw when they released V3 for amarr ships a year ago. All Carthum ships had Sarum logos until they were changed by Carthum logos later.

Having got on the test server this morning I was immensely impressed at the new apoc design, simply seeing pictures of it doesnt do proper justice to the beauty of this model. I have only one gripe, which may well be rectified before its final iteration, and that is as follows.

The material shader for the hull, specifically the unarmoured, darker sections (this becomes especially noticable on the navy issue apoc, in areas such as caldari space) have somewhat of a more 'gloss' coat to them, which sadly detracts from the otherwise awesome nature and scale of this ship; it makes it look a bit too toy-like. Other amarr ships, such as the Maller, Oracle, Dragoon etc, have more matte material properties for these sections, they are a lot less shiny and the ship looks miles better for it.

Hopefully my fears are for nought and this will be sorted before Odyssey goes live, I merely wanted to note the issue and let the Devs know just how awesome this model is! Great work guys!

thx for the respond. I might sound like a noob but what does tm mean?

Trademark. CCP jokes that they have the trademark for using the term "soon" to describe when they are going to do something.

Relic (makers of Home World) trademarked that back in the late 90s ;)

CCP, please seed those on the test server so I can look at the pure sex of a model used on a ship that will likely never again be attainable on live servers.

Yeah, "let's chop some more plating from each Amarr ship, it looks sexy".

I have been drooling over this redesign since I saw it.

Has enough of the classic design elements form the original, but none of the problems (big square engine, "flying banana" moniker, etc).

Can't wait for it to go live.

I have always had a dislike for the design of the Apocalypse. The flying banana, with it's spires and windows looked like it had few defenses

The new look is amazing. It looks like they 'finished' the old design. Put armor plates, finished the substructure. It looks massive and tough and imposing. The geddon used to be my favorite battleship design, but the new Apoc is possibly going to take that spot.

A question for the devs: Is the new Carthum Conglomerate ship version currently on SiSi, the new Paladin Apoc model with the crimson and gold design, the future of the Paladin? Or are we getting a new model in the near future? Because I'd hate to get my heart set on this beautiful ship ...

If you're driven to threaten others with harm or violence because of what they do in game, you can't separate fantasy from reality. That "griefer/thief" is probably more sane than you are. How screwed up is that?

By the way, did anybody else notice that the texture on the turrets change for each ship? As in, Paladin turrets are gold and crimson, while base Apoc turrets are gold/tan.

Love that apoc. In the case of a paladin, it#s now a giant space hot dog!
