QCATS becomes all-time leader in FW kills

Whilst I can believe Qcats have beaten Wolfy... (due to length of time doing the same thing) and Bi-Polar (for the same reasons) I find in very unlikely that they have beaten SoTF.

And I'm certain that if an "all time" list were made SoTF would be by far the most successful Gallente corp, if not the most successful in FW as a whole.

What Gall and now Tekitha and Lock Out have done with SoTF is truly worthy of respect.#

I'm not slating Qcats by the way, I have a great deal of respect for them, Ash is one of the best solo pvpers in the game, but it was Qcats Status as an FW corp, the fact he has mates there and the fact SoTF left FW that brought him to Qcats... and not they PvP skills. Which are considerable.

I do feel that if someone is going to chest beat in that manner, without being honest about the real facts involved a counter point should be put forward, it a ying and yang thang brah!!!

Qcats has more kills than sotf according to evekill. Plus if they were in faction war the whole time then it would make sense they would have the top spot.

The killboards count different things as well. Killboards include every kill that one of your corp members was on. I beleive, the api being used here, only counts it if your corp delivered the final blow.

Also the killboard will include kills when your corp was not in faction war and the api wont.

What I don't know is if the api includes kills against non-fw pilots. So if qcats kills a neutral and gets the final blow is that counted?

Those stats are kills on other FW targets only - they do not include random piracy etc TMFED has more than 14k thats for true true

These statistics are correct and go back to the beginning of FW. They only count final blows on FW targets which most people do not realize, hence some confusion. It's not perfect but it's the only metric we have besides BC rating, total kills and isk efficiency. BTW those are; #14, 59.676 and 84.82% all fairly bad ass. And since the EPIC Ashen joined we have been #1 on BC for recent activity (was typically #3 or #4 before).

This achievement was only possible due to our primary focus on FW for the past 5+ years. Killing squids is what we do. Our members would rather fight a frig gang solo in their destroyer then get cap /shiney kills with 30 other guys. We love our small ship pvp.

They were running neck and neck for a while, but eventually QCATS passed them up I think last year sometime (?) while SOTF was still in militia. But their totals were close for a long time.

If you added up Wolfy + Bi-Po + SoTF then it would be a different story, but total kills (total final blows on FW targets to be exact) is also about productivity over a long period of time.

+1 to QCATS and SOTF.

Metrics are nice but consider the intangible contributions that organizations such as QCATS, SOTF, WOLFS and whoever else has made to FW and lowsec in general. Intangibles such as great storylines, incredible FCs, epic fights making it to 3rd party news sites, mentors, and drama threads. These cannot be measured but they do live on in militia lore and greater New Eden

battleclinic shows the same thing - we definitely overtook SOTF for top kills a while ago while they were still in militia.

No offence taken. But even while SOTF were in militia we had overtaken them in both kills and FW kills.

However, SOTF are well ahead of us in ISK destroyed - their primary focus shifted to BS/capital warfare a while ago.

As a final note, the api stats don't reset when you leave militia. QCATS has been in and out of militia a few times to join the Minmatar militia.

looks like someone has no idea about the relationship myself and SoTF have... If you did you'd understand that, SoTF would not have me in their ranks or even fighting along side them. I'd bet my mortage that in fact 80% of that corp would happily see me dead in rl and the other 20 just dead in eve or quitinig.

Also grats QCATS, they decided a certain aspect of stats is important to them (BC ranks, FW kills) and they achieved excellence in that regard, it's no small feat and will prolly be a long while untill someone even comes close to same stats.
