IGB - Give money?

Is this going to be implemented anytime soon?

I read about some concern about exploits...Which I don't really agree with...For that matter "addBounty()" is an exploit as well. There is a confirmation for all of these actions before people actually go ahead with them...

Anyway, there an ETA for this feature?? Thanks.

I wouldn't hold your breathe waiting for changes like this to the IGB.

From what was said at fanfest, right now, the discussion is more: 'will we replace it? will we rip it out as it's really old code'

Hence my post about replacing it, to show there's support for retaining, but upgrading, the IGB.

This was discussed a lot internally during the last round of IGB additions.

At the time we decided not to go ahead and add it because this is the holiest of holies and this would have required a redesign of the give money dialog in order to alleviate any risk of scamming (the give money dialog was much more basic at the time).

Today priorities have shifted like Steve says, so I wouldn't anticipate us jumping on this hot potato until the future of the IGB is sorted.

I think having this capability in the CREST API alone will alleviate any and all of the IGB use cases.
